The Katar @ 6:23 looks identical to the one “Alec” made on his channel. I could barely notice any difference! 😊
Kuwait! I went to Kuwait once. It was in 1991. I was part of a severe Desert Storm that blew through the area. 🤣 I'd imagine it's a lot nicer place when you're not part of a world military on their soil. Looks like you had a great trip!
Love from India. Love your videos.
So cool...the Caste System has Much Respect for you....That Smith did not blink or show the Surprise for your Striker Abilities...A bridge of respect was Forged...You both handled it like Gentlemen. Class Act.
Sounds like you had a really great trip.
For anyone that doesn't know, museums often don't allow photography because the camera flash has allot of harmful to the art UV light. One flash won't fade the art but hundreds a day or week and it would look like it sat in the sun to get bleached. It's one thing when your bright yellow patio table umbrella turns tan and starts to tear at the seams and its another for a 200+ year old one of a kind painting to do the same.

Yep, that's why many such museums have giveaway brochures with sample images and/or sell books with better images. Many have websites with images. Not all though, especially the out-of-the-way ones, which is a shame because often they have the coolest stuff.

Phones don’t emit that shit foh dude. It’s a famine vs feast mentality of withholding information from the world cause people won’t visit aka “tourism goes down” which is horse 💩 if you see the Argentine obelisk on a picture it makes you want to see it in real life. Quit it with your wives tale comments 😂

also a Mystique mysterious thing that forces people to come to it.

A lot of museum allow photography, as long as it's not flash photography, i.e. it's just the flash that is forbidden. The problem usually is that the lighting usually tends to be somewhat poor for photography for much of the same reasons. I.e. you can take pictures, but unless you really know what you're doing (and even then), it's just not going to turn out all that great... That said, I do understand the reasons why, but I see way too many people in museums using flash photography anyway, which I just find disrespectful.

@@nodeio Yeah pisses me off too when I see a flash go off. I love it when security escorts them out though. The local museum here doesn't allow photography at all, someone sees another person using a camera then they pull theirs out too and flash... Best just not allow it at all.
Travel educational videos are the hardest videos to make. So you begin able to make some about blacksmithing is really interesting, fun, and not something I could see anywhere else. bladesmithing takes way more time and it wouldn't be practical to do the same, but I love those traveling cooking shows where they go abroad, try new food, and then learn how to make it.
You should try to recreate one of those Indian gun-knife combos, even if the gun might have to be non-functional
Glad to know that you came to our country. I am a viewer since you started videos with him.
Will, I really enjoy your travel videos. You should do a quick trip up to Canada once the snow melts to meet with Ethan Hardy, and then continue on to Calgary, where I would love to introduce you to an amazing Japanese kitchen knife store who really support small makers.
You had fun exploring... Good for you. 🤓 The *_rat temple_* would have freaked me out.
I didn't know you went all over the world.
Looks like an amazing trip
Will! I went on a trip to India a couple years ago and rode those elephants, saw the same museum of blade work. Metal work in India was fascinating for me. Great video, glad you shared your trip, thanks.
@Will Stelter you should come and visit us here in Chile! We have had about 100 visitors in the past 4 years. We gave a cabana that you can stay in and we will treat you better than family. Also we blacksmith here. We are hobbyist and did live demonstrations and were members of The Phillip Simmons Chapter of ABANA in South Carolina. We would love to host you for a week. Jim in Chile
Very cool trip! Thanks for sharing
Great video, I would love to have seen you make the India trip into several videos, a very interesting country that is on my bucket list. I’m jealous!
Glad you had a wonderful trip to India. I go several times a year and it is amazing place. The people, places and food are so rich with culture. The vast amount of emotions from beggars and trash piles burning in the streets to the lavish ancient palaces and the modern world cornucopia of everything we take for granted never ceases to amaze me. Very blessed experience. 😊
Incredible, that is something you will never forget. I'm so jealous.
That was an awesome trip. 👍
I visited similar places when I visited India some years back, absolutely fantastic people. much better than visiting places like Egypt where people try to sell you or scam you 24/7 if you are a tourist. the idea of blacksmithing sitting down was a new concept to me though
Always amazing seeing your videos pop up!
You are an amazing young man. If everyone had your attitude there would be no problems. Thanks for sharing your time and talent! KANSAS
That sounds like an amazing time Will, glad that you got to travel again
Looks like an incredible trip and a lot of really cool experiences. Very excited for you.
Sounds like an amazing experience. Good for you for taking the time to travel. Best advice I took in my 20s was to travel often.
Cool trip! Striking for the smith at his forge was awesome.
Looks like it was a great trip. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Such a small detail but I’m happy to hear the elephants are treated well
You're a fortunate guy, Will. Thanks for sharing!
Wow Will. You're so cool. Good for you. Learning more is amazing.🔥👍
It looks like you had a great time. Those places and weapons looked fantastic. Thanks for sharing your trip with us.
That's awesome. I'm so happy, getting to watch you grow and learn, both as a Smith and a Person.
Please link videos you reference in the description. It took me too long to find the video I already watched. Love your videos either way just some positive criticism. Keep doin your thing!
Will, the overhead leather drives you are familiar with are actually more dangerous; what happens when an overhead drive belt breaks? It comes out quickly, in a line with the belt's motion and falling on the people working below. A ground mounted shafting would spit out a belt right on the ground, close to the beltway. The spinning shafts are a bit chancy but easy to avoid. Awesome trip!
Brother what a cool trip! Love the pictures of the weapons.
Cool trip 😎👍
Looking forward to more blade making, Will.
Thanks, Will. Very interesting.
What an incredible journey you are on in life.Thank you for taking us along with you. I always look forward to listening and seeing what you are going to do next.
Awesome video!
It sounds like you had a great trip. Having friends that could take you around really is the best way to visit a new place.
Seems like a once in a lifetime trip. Crazy stuff.
What a fun looking trip!!
Ok wow that’s an AWESOME experience! India’s always been on my bucket list, and this just pretty much solidified my want to take a month off and just go.

The Jaipur, Jodphur and Udaipur is a classic set. If you go to Jaipur I recommend a hotel call Arya Niwas 😊
You should come down under and visit with our blade smithing family in Australia it would be great to meet you I can’t forge as well as I used to as I’ve unfortunately had a stroke so anything I can do is very slow these days well my brother in iron take care of yourself and I hope to one day meet you Scott
That was really cool getting in there and blacksmithing in there with them.😊
That was a quick tour! Why don't you come to Sweden and visit? There are some fine smithies (is that a proper word) to visit around here. Always welcome to stay at our place (and we make a mean lasagna! Not just that, but it's a start, don't you think?).
What a trip!
It would have been nice to see some more forging in the area, however it's nice to see you expanding your experiences with new regions and techniques, I would love to get some of your experience simply to improve the quality and production of my products.
I believe that the only 2 law's there may be. Don't hit ANYTHING. Avoid getting hit by anything.
Will, you got to be a human "power-hammer!" Cool!
Interesting 😊
Dang sorry haven't been able to keep up. Delhi is where I live and had I known would have suggested Karolina as they do some great unique blacksmithing related to mirrors for the queen in England.
It's good for the mind to travel to other far away countries. Good on you Will. ☕😀
you should make a leg vise
It's crazy that none of those blacksmiths were wearing safety glasses- pretty cool to see, though. Thanks for posting!
now that you have seen some of their awesome weaponry in person try recreating some of them especially the patterned ones😂😂😂
Glad you had a great time!
Wel some for traveling and visiting other places.. I am green coisa outra 1 of favourite things to do.
Commend you for traveling and learning about different places and cultures, I think anyone with the ability to do so should.
Not a big fan of wild rats but I have had pet rats and they can be super sweet and fun, very friendly and smart.
If u still in India visit NE as well. Want to see you my idol on making knife and working
Dude, rats are absolutely amazing animals you should look them
I didnt know i wanted to go to india before this.
Nice...
you have to make one of those all metal spears at 6:10
I can’t be the only one that thought this was gonna be a April fools joke and was shocked he actually went????
Hello from Maine.
I've dabbled in forging and machining for many years, and would have loved to be on such a tour. I did go to India for my 60th birthday some years ago, with my emphasis on architecture, castles, fortresses, palaces and temples. Amazing stuff. One special thing I noticed was military anti-elephant measures in one fort. To prevent elephants from bashing down big gates, huge spikes were sticking through them, very pointy and nasty. India has a lot of problems, but I would certainly recommend a visit to see such a different but friendly culture. A trip of a lifetime.
Is it possible to link the music, I'm really enjoying the instrumentals
👏👏👏🤜🤛
👍👍👍
👍😁
have you ever heard of a Puukko knife, I saw this on tik tok vid from a Finland soldier who was showing his, if you have, have you tried to make one, its not complicated but quite and tool ,,,
Isn’t the rat temple where they believe humans become rats in the next life? Then become humans again once they die as rats? I feel like I heard something along those lines. Pretty interesting.

India road rules: 1) THERE ARE NO RULES. 2) Not as important but DONT DIE.
The roads are the same in China. If you fit in the open spot. It's yours. Just go.

Don't you have a great friend in England?
a comment for the algorythm. love, heinrich
Hello
Don't talk about Jesus, Shout about Jesus brother.
Bit of a long winded April Fools joke?
This channel has very little of the content I signed up for. Unsubscribed.
Love your vids but India and safety culture is sad. I've watched them pouring metal in sandals and improper clothes. Most there in India are very hard working and trying to provide for families. Prayers for them all
are you learning how to make crap blades ? and fake damascus
Love how yanks forget the British invented all of this
Fantastic trip 👏👏
👍👍👍
