All of the components of great adventure filmmaking. The seal at the climax was a great touch. Top of my list of destinations yet to visit.

It was kind of bold to make a almost 6 minutes long video. But in this case it turnd out to be a success. I was curios what would happen when you left the swiss alps (for a while) to enter the island everyone (for some reason) feel they have to make a video from. Would it be just another of those Iceland films? The answer is no. This is a video I've enjoyed watching - all 6 minutes long - for several reasons. Besides the obvious ones, like "beautiful island", "nice flying" "good grading" etc, I would like, first and foremost, to point out the fact that you have extended your use of handheld camera. It makes such a great differens. I still love and really enjoy all the droneshots, but handheld enables you to create so many more perspectives, to increase variation, to combine the magnificent scenary with perculary closeups and so on. That is why you can make a video for six minutes, and keep me watching til the last second. And since I think choosing music is one of the most important task when making a video, I'll give you a star for the magnificent transition between songs in the video. Superior!!

Thank you very much indeed! I first set myself a limit of 10 minutes, because I had so much material. I'm glad I changed my mind and set the limit to 5 mins (and while editing stretched to 6...), more would have been too long for a video like this ;) I'm glad I was forced to use more handheld this time, because in many places in Iceland (the very touristy ones), drones aren't allowed any more (I understand why). This forced me to be more creative with my handheld stuff, and it's for the better! Thanks for the compliment on the music transition. It took me a while to find the right tracks (listened to many of their albums again and again), but settled on these 2 and found a nice part which sounded quite similar to make the transition. They flow well together, but of course it's still clearly noticably a different song. Just needed some more excitement at the end ;)

Tolle Bilder und auch die Musik passt hervorragend dazu. Wir besuchen im Mai 2024 auch für 4 Tage Island. Kennst Du Dich in Island gut aus? Lebst Du dort? Und wenn ja, dürfte ich Dir ein paar Fragen stellen?
