Today's amazing journey takes us back in time, 202 years back. Back to a time when plantations flourished and slaves and sugar were the commodities of choice, an era, lost in time and hidden from the history books of our people.
To get to our destination we went across eight parishes, saw some of the most spectacular sights and drove on some of the most unforgiving roads. We got pulled over a few times by the police, got lost in Trelawney but then I found something…something quite Amazing.

Beautiful!!! Some of my best memories from childhood includes driving through the Jamican countryside with my late Grandmother on the colorful busses. The nostalgia is overwhelming as I watch this video.🙏😥

thank you for this video. I am a Hyde myself, my dad is from Kingston, Jamaica and he told me that the Hyde's come from this plantation. thank you a lot for this information.
I'm so there!
Very good trip enjoy it very much. Love how you respect your Elderly men in the video . keep on doing Jamaica Good. Nuff Respect to you and GOD Bless you always ❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲.
Alex next time you take the left turn and go up one place name Lluidas Vale. Pure history up there... there was a plantation there with even a real water wheel and you can get a tour of the famous Worthy Park estate. You talk about juan de bolas? Up deh so it deh too
Indeed a great video, it's a crying shame that the present owner of this great house failed to restore it dare I say, to it's former glory. The lady said give it to her and she would restore it single handedly. You're not alone girl, my sentiment as well.
Alex I'm at the 15:57 point and had to pause and send you via your IG page. Hope you find the info useful. Well send another link when I'm done watching this amazing video of yours. Cheers😊
U know dem waydeh ❤LOADzofBLESSINGz
The Government or some deep pocketed concerned persons should come together and purchase the property and restore the house to be like Rose Hall Great House to make some money from tourists and local tours from schools etc. At the same time it would be preserving a part of Jamaica's rich history. Love yor videos keep up the good job.
Good job rich kid keepup u the best jah bless up top love we say
Great documentary that Great house Can be rescued from bad memories jamaica can recreate good by creating tours and jobs

I really wish they would restore these great houses. You are doing an amazing job thank you so much for sharing xx
Nice
Just visited jamaica a week ago and saw so much of the northern coast from negril to annotto bay, it was incredible. Also drove through fern gully and felt like i was INSIDE the earth. Truly amazing
Very wonderful
You would believe that these people live and work on the property, maybe for free, yet they can't even keep up the historic building/structure come on kmt.thanks for carrying this to light.
I knew this was an old bridge but it is a mystery as to how old it really is and the cost in human lives. Silent river really runs deep.
I know you’re not and historian scholar but you do a fantastic job of show us Jamaica.
Great work.

Hello Alex, You always do such a great job. Thanks for dropping knowledge. Well Received. Keep up the great work!!
Jamaican is rich in history and you can trace it back in time. This is one of the few countries that’s left where you can find remnants from the past. Educating the current generation about what happened here centuries ago .

Good to hear and see the history. Thanks for seeking it out. While watching the video, it struck me that these people could be the dependence of the slaves that once worked on the plantation. Truth to tell the masters died out or moved on to England or America. But, the slaves stayed and continued living and having families until now. I am elated and sad at the same time. Could we not elevate their stature from rags and bare footedness? We go and gock and thank them, thanks for giving us a tour. Do you give them a tip for their knowledge? Hope you did. We are just as bad as the slave masters taking from these people and not giving back. Think about it!😏🤔
This is such beautiful video.
This was so good to watch. The history in Jamaica is astounding. I hope you will be able to put it all in a book so future generations can experience Jamaica's history. Some people might not like these great houses but it was a part of old Jamaica. Blessings Elite
Thank you for showing our history to the world.
The government must lease these property to people with contracts that they keep it up

Thank you so much for doing this great history work. I wonder if you can do some research regarding the early Maroons in Jamaica . Thanks again lots of knowledge and history here.
I wonder why the long pond , sugar estate doesn’t restore those houses because they could do tours! Hmm 🤔
