Exploring Durbar Square in Kathmandu, Nepal 🇳🇵
Durbar Square is part of old Kathmandu and a must see when visiting this city. There are lots of temples to see. What is also special is that you can see Kumari the living goddess there. Twice a day she will show herself for a few seconds so visitors can catch a glimpse of her.
Also in this video I tried my first sweet lassie and pokora. Very delicious!

Especially for foreign, best place to see kumari is that of patan, i forgot the name of bihar but it is near around patan durbar square. Foreign is allowed to meet the kumari in Patan.

When you visit patan, visit Ratnakar Mahabihar, there you are allowed to meet Kumari.

There are 3 different kumari Kathmandu, bhaktapur & lalitpur (patan) . And all of them have their own rule.
Fun Fact 9:47 : Nepal is 5 times bigger in area than Belgium. Also bigger than Portugal. Nepal is not a small country in average.

@@timtense Did you get to climb to the top of Kyanji Ri? I took the Langtang trek as well. It is amazing how those people live in the Himalayas. I saw a 60 to 70 year old woman carrying at least 50 KG’s on here back around Lama Hotel. I can’t wait to go back to Nepal. Enjoy your trip!

@@timtense the beauty of east is illam district. Through the illam you can go darjeling and sikkim ..darjeling and sikkim are india but quite near from illam ..in that place all nepalse speakers are living ..so u can enjoy there ..

Dale Philip alone bargained the guide down to Rs 500. You even with your local friend paid more than Dale 🤣 You need to improve your bargaining skill. Here is a tip for quick bargain: When they first say their price, act like it is too much and you are not interested at all. Don't act confused. Then they will reduce their price. Then ask for their "Final price". Now act like you not interested and are ready to leave. Then they will have to reduce the price to a reasonable level or they will lose the customer. If they follow you with a new price, that means the price can still be reduced. If they don't, then that is a reasonable price. Now you can go back and buy the product or the service, or you can buy from another guy.
