    Intersting comparison,I like the performance between both devices but i like the xiaomi more and the difference is not huge as i thought it could be for the xperia. thanks for sharing all the snapshots and the recording for a beautiful place.

    Thank you!! And yeah the bigger difference in the supporting sensors. But with both the main sensors I like them

    Well shot and produced video. Yes, would prefer a documentary/history style video as find it a more enjoyable experience. Similar to what David Cogan (The Unlockr) does with his videos. That wasp at the end 😆

    I wouldn't do the way David does ^^ he is more a day in life style, so normal life, I want it to be explore and travel style, and talking about the location more, possibly the history. Like you said, I think it will be more entertaining, just need to figure out how to do that well so people enjoy it a lot!

    Great video... Just possibly not just for the comparison of camera's. The place is one of those places that seems to not only be thought provoking but one that can touch emotions too... Thank you for sharing. Now the phones. I think for me the Sony video quality is what made me consider a Sony as an option before I got my Xiaomi 13 Pro. But then most of the time photo's are what I take more than I do video's and I took almost 280 photos in the 6 days we were in Wales and almost 940 photo's when we had 7 days in Latvia. OK most would be multiples of the same scene or view and would be deleted once transferred to the home network storage. But the range of lens options with the 13 Pro makes you want to do multiple compositions of the same thing and play with how it looks. It makes photography fun in a way that can be creative and challenge you to do more with the camera's. I think for me editing photos is quick, even using apps like Snapseed are not bad for quick edits on the phone. But editing video just takes time and its just not as instant or close to instant if you want to share something quickly. I do think I will do more video's over time and that can be fun too, but for motorcycle onboard videos the Go Pro is the best tool and for catching memories the phone is good but for me there is no one size fits all solution for Video especially when it comes to zooming in and out on the subject matter and the phone has got smoother and almost like a mechanical zoom, but its delicate and can zoom in and out a little too fast or too slow and not be smooth enough at times, but that is the issue with phone touch control and user error, not the phone or camera its self. I do enjoy your video's and most leave me thinking about not just the phones or camera's but the subject matter we capture.

    Soooo well bloody said!! And the subjects we capture is such a big part of photography, and a big part of enjoyment for me! Sure with nature photography that is a bit different because there aren't really buildings to discuss, but still! And i am seriously glad you enjoyed the video! And I love comments like this a lot! The interaction and hearing someone elses side! Thank you!

    i dont understand why would you use 120fps in the dark. and even compare it with the 30 fps of the xiaomi. High frame rate requires a lot of light compared to 30 fps. 120 fps is supposed to be used by slowing the footage down.

    Because the plan was to slow it down, but while being there my narrative for the place changed when home, and i needed to let people hear the sound. Technically i could have still slowed it down, but it came over weird

    Great Video and great idea. Xiaomi wins for me I prefer the block rather than a line of lenses. But the biggest thing is having 50mp on all lenses makes it very smooth if using them all in a video or stills documentary. I love macro you can't beat xiaomi on that.

  • @Fit-4-Life
    @Fit-4-LifeАй бұрын

    Hey Man, I don't know how you did that but sony on 120 fps has more stuttering than xiaomi on 60 fps, looks like there is no stabilisation on sony, you standing still taking xaomi video and then you walking and moving fast around camera while shooting with sony. it's not how you compare 2 cameras. This youtube video is 60fps and if you edited that in 60 fps as default timeline of most software the video was downgraded and comparison looks bad for sony, so either your editing program ruined it or rendered bad as the compression in some moments looks bad even in 4K. 2nd thing is if you compare 2 pictures both phones have to be in the same exact position, you can not change the angle a bit on the other phone as phone may adjust AWB and pic looks different, even if you take 2 pictures in the period of 1 minute between, the outside lightning may change drastically as cloud travel.

    In terms of photography, even more than the 3.5mm headphone jack, the Xperia is a much BETTER experience because it has support for microSD cards. Which means you CAN rest assured you won't run out of storage if you go around filming in 4K, shooting RAW etc. 'cause your phone's storage isn't stupidly limited by a decision you made in the moment of purchase. As for the results, I'll take the Xperia anyway as well, for the manual controls and the less strong approach to post-processing and HDR. Xiaomi brightens up everything way too much for my taste and crushes the shadows far too much, specially outdoors (see 1:58 as an example), which makes the pictures less realistic.

    Oh i get what you're saying, and that is why i am also saying with the main sensor alone it isn't an easy battle, for photography it is for me the supporting sensors that makes the biggest difference, they are simply better on the Xiaomi. With that being said, the 3.5, the shutter button AND the microSD is so good! You can swap between different mediums, you can indeed not really run out of memory because you can simply swap it! Just like a real proper camera. And that experience is really good! It is just the supporting sensors (mostly the periscope) is grainy in daytime and misses detail, and that part is what knocks it down a bit. And the 3.5, i mean i have bluetooth in my car, but still use the 3.5 of course!!! :D

    Another great video. IMHO Sony's floating telephoto lens is actually an inferior product and is a cost saving measure. It's a zoom lens with one sensor vs the likes of S23U/Xiaomi 13U which have two telephoto prime lens and dedicate sensors. We all know in general, zoom lens sharpness is softer than prime.
