We are originally from Romania, moved to England from 2010, and this year going to visit Indonesia for the first time, and trying to figure out a "plan" or what we could visit as well. Another fun, funny and a lovely reaction from our favourite KZreadr..love it so so much..oh yes you must visit Dieng..it is a very beautiful area..we used to call it The Land Above The Clouds..'cause when the mist covers some of the area below we will feel like we are above the clouds..it's very stunning..and yes Daniel is right ..in Dieng you'll find many hot springs..they usually mix natural hot water with cold mountain water so that the baths are not too hot..and one more thing not to be missed when visiting Dieng is the festival of The Dreadlock Shaving Ritual wich is a shaving off ritual of dreadlocks of kids born with this unique hair. The ceremony is known as Ruwatan anak gembel/gimbal..usualy the festival will be highlighted with the release of traditional lanterns, a popular (wayang kulit) leather puppet show, traditional art and cultural performances, and a fireworks fiesta. Adding sparkle to the festival will be a special Jazz performance aptly entitled Jazz Above The Clouds, as well as a special dreadlock kids "ballet".. so Dieng must be added to your Indonesian's visit list..ok see you guys soon in indonesia..big love always from Yogyakarta Indonesia..🙋😘😀

Oowh.., i miss Dieng so much 😍, i was there before pandemi (it's gorgeous place). Dieng is the highest plateau of Java and Bali. Along the way to the top you will pass a beautiful valley. People grow potatoes (the best potatos i have and you must try the potato chips from Dieng). If you want to see the ceremonial tradition of cutting dreadlocks, come in July where the temperature is also freezing there, chunks of ice everywhere.
