Exploring Creative AI with StoryWork: From Idea to Story

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Turn a mere idea into a script-ready story with Storywork!
And of course, it’s NOT just for AI movies.
How is your storytelling?
If you’re a creative, playing with a lot of AI tools like I am, it might be because you have an inner desire to use these tools to tell a story.
But maybe you don’t know what that story is…
Or maybe you’re stuck in its development, not knowing how to develop your idea into something truly interesting, and worthy of a cinematic experience.
Personally, I’ve always loved to write, but struggled with writing anything with any depth or complexity. Probably my short attention span - combined with no real education on that kind of writing.
Storywork walks you through 18 essential questions that will allow you to start with a mere idea, and with an hour or so, have a Log Line, full Synopsis, Outline and character sheet.
This was a truly inspiring experience, and if you are interested in improving your writing, particularly for movies, go give Storywork a try.
They let you develop one idea for free!

📔 ABOUT BOB DOYLE
We live in a freaking crazy time, don’t we?
Artificial Intelligence has exploded into the mainstream, and reactions are varied, to say the least. But for me? I’m all on board! As a creative, today’s technology allows me to take the skillsets I’ve acquired over a lifetime and use them like never before. Instead of feeling threatened by how rapidly seems to be taking of people’s jobs, I see the technology as a way to foster creativity in far more people than are currently tapping into their creative potential. I believe we are here as humans to create. And for me, it’s not an option. If I’m not creating something, I’m dying inside. So Bob Doyle Media is a showcase of my various outlets of creativity, and you’ll see that AI plays a big role in it. From virtual photoshoots and art and animation creation, all the way to voice cloning and face replacement… I play with all of it, and this is where I share it. If you’d like to work together, please reach out. I’d love to connect and talk about how I can contribute to your project.

This is really useful, especially for people who work in the film industry, but don't work in those areas that have extensive knowledge in the actual screenwriting part of production, like me! Thanks for bringing awareness to this really cool tool.

Hi Bob - Love your channel - my fave in the AI field ❤👍 Reminds me of Dramatica software which did/does a similar thing but without the AI stuff. Maybe it does now. Be interested to know what you think of it.

So I've been waiting on my free session, trying to decide what old idea to pull out. There's one that has a very clear idea to it, semi-fleshed out with way more pre-emptive details in my head I prefaced. So, as it's not shown the video, here's my experience with that level of detail going in. It truly did work very nicely! It helped me keep organized on the major beats, while allowing me to ramble the small things, and it did it's best at retaining it later to lesson the work load. This tool also really helped with filling in details quickly I'd usually procrastinate on, such as age of characters, their full consistent connection to each other, and especially the whole backstory section it had. It did misorder my rambling at times, leading to a confusing timeline, and getting it to correct it felt so tedious, just getting it back on track without it continuing to brainstorm when I asked it to stop changing things.. that said we did get back on track eventually. Ultimately I have gotten so more done than I would have trying to organize these things on my own, and the artificial discussion aspect is really nice too adherently. If you like gushing about your ideas to get them out but feel like it's too annoying for other people lmao, this is amazing and actually productive. I've also done more writing using this than I have in forever, and I've had really bad writer's block so that's amazing for me. Thank you for sharing this service with us!

It specifically struggled the most with the triggers section, but given my ramblings and how much pre-context I provided, it would be a lot for even another human to juggle lol. If I didn't amend that tho, my overall script would have been horribly out of order, so a way to tell it to just go with your idea, in a clearer way, would be nice. It also in my case specifically, struggled to keep up with a preexisting condition in the story that was growing or expanding, and kept conflating the heightening of the stakes as the introduction of the stakes, but that's probably based on my phrasing I'll add, and again, I think it eventually understood.

I know this could probably be adapted, but something along these lines especially aimed at book writing would be great. I have a few plotting tools, but something like this that pulls it all together would be fantastic. Anything you've seen or heard of that would do that?

4:30 ... this reminds me of the book The Fermata by Nicholson Baker, about a guy who finds he can freeze time and can do whatever he wants to things and people (more complicated than that but that's the gist) ... everything's fine until he finds a woman who apparently can do the same thing!!
