Looks like fun driving conditions in the right car! The Audi handled it like a champ!
We got the German version of the Allroad with the 350hp diesel this thing is amazing
As someone that lives in a part of Germany that gets the same amount of snow sometimes: looks like fun :D
Yes, please do a comparison with the allroad and the X Country wagon!!
I had the 2003 A6 allroad when living in Colorado and drove through many days in weather like this. It was my favorite driving experience of my life.
No swow tires? BRUTAL man. You gotta slap snows on that for ultimate snow performance.
With snow tyres you will kill it man

@Boski The Second. .. +1. Agreed, winter temperatures / snow-rated sneakers are a must. .. Our old '95.5 Audi UrS6 wagon was a Uber-ski wagon.
Dude, I live up in Casper, Wyoming and we got hit! Took out my Jeep with snow tires and had a blast.
An impressive car. Looking at trading up from my A4 Allroad to the A6 Allroad.

U won’t be disappointed- am on my 4th A6 Allroad Diesel 50 MHEV , phenomenal mpg on long distances, excellent in snow and mud 👍🏻
I had an OG allroad. Was so much fun cleaning the alley for my neighbors
Beautiful Car. I lived in Colorado for 5 years. They have the worst Snow Plowers in out of all the States I've lived in. They hardly use salt and it's like the sweep the Snow. 😄
Winter is the best in Colorado!
Thanks for the review, nice wagon.
Everyone knows that the severity of a natural disaster is measured by whether the Waffle House remains open, not the Starbucks!
Excellent review. Thanks for sharing👍
I have audi a4 allroad and it's fantastic to drive in snow almost unstoppable I love it 🥰
Glad I found this, great review. I’m trying to convince my wife to get this which we would fit with snow boots so I’m sure it would be great.
Best review of this car. Up in northern Maine we need more reviews like this
Wagons make so much more sense than SUV´s - I have know ideal why people are still buying only SUV´s.

Thanks for this review. Confidence builder for Audi. Wonder how this Audi Allroad A6 sedan would compare to the Audi Q8 coupe style suv in weather like that? Any experience or ideas on that?
Awesome video! One of the best by far.🤟🏾
Watched this like 17 times in a month 🙂 don't remove video from internet please. Love the car
that looks like fun :) We had this kind of snow too here in Bavaria this winter, right now all gone - guess we have an early spring time. With an all wheel drive it's a blast, I love it :)
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I don’t want a Volvo since they are Chinese owned. It’s between this Audi and a Subaru Outback. I have to drive 160 miles/day through North Ohio Snowbelt. I don’t want to drive an SUV that far. I have driven through snow that deep in my 96 Subaru. It was awesome. I’m older now and would like quieter/more comfort.
'The Subie made it!' Haha fun vid.

Ok hey there. Don’t take me wrong, but I’m not gonna try to puff you up or make the algorithm find you. But what I have say hopefully will do both. As a closet case car nut, I find the endless list of you tubers who “review” cars mostly to be good, but lacking in the sort of detail stuff that people who are truly in search of, who truly want to understand subtle details of operation, of experience, of these cars. You, otoh have provided really interesting points on all of this. I’ve been contemplating a new Audi for a while but have been left ... unfulfilled. Your video has answered so many of my questions! But hey, although I now am really liking the A6 version, I’m hoping you can do a comparison to A4, which I currently drive and love.

Another class, air suspensions, bigger engine, more expensive everything.
You call that a snowmageddon? na just kidding that would be a handful even in Sweden. Cheers and good travel from a swede

And because nothing says "German" in American more than "add a couple of tons." Meanwhile Subaru sales continue to stay rock solid high in ye olde USA and for all too many obvious reasons.

Yeah. Not much. We get more than that in Massachusetts!
yes on the comparison to cross county Volvo.
when the video started i literally thought it looked like Fort Collins, I used to live in Foco and i have never seen stuff this wild. I also had a lifted jeep with some mud tires on it so I never had to worry. Used to use my jeep to make tracks for my roommates cars to make it out.
I’m so jealous. I’d love to have an A6 Allroad or RS6 Avant for an extended test drive. If I could, I’d get one to replace my 2017 Q5 3.0T (which essentially has an older version of the engine in the A6 Allroad, just it lacks all of the mild-hybrid components and is supercharged instead of turbocharged). My mother has a Mercedes-Benz E400 Wagon she got a couple of years ago. If the A6 Allroad had been available back then, I’m almost certain she would’ve purchased it instead as it has a little bit easier ingress/egress due to the slightly higher ride and to me the A6 Allroad seems a bit roomier and the infotainment is much less complicated than Mercedes’ old COMAND system that requires you spin a dial or use a touchpad to do anything.
Winter tires would make a huge difference.
I have a front-wheel drive Passat with Michelin Cross Climate 2's. I've tooled through similar snow conditions in Utah on multiple occasions and without revving my engine like this. Tires make all the difference and the Michelin Cross Climate 2's are all-season tires too. I used to swap between summer and winter tires, but now there's no purpose. Well, unless you live somewhere ice is a big problem, and therefore need studs in the winter. Northern Utah gets big snow but we aren't typically iced in.

Yeah. He stressed out the vehicle over nothing.
Yessss!!!
Its not just awd, thats QUATTRO :) Enjoy 😃
Please do a comparison with this and Subaru Outback Touring!
Thoughts on A4 all road? Thanks.
In Snow i think the Audi is better as the E450 all terrain
Savage video boss !! Im over in Ireland 🇮🇪 looking at a reason to not buy a 2020 50tdi Al road that has less than 12k miles….so far I am failing 😊
Last week, #Fidelb sang his sad songs for so long. It was covered with snow and it turned into a snowbank 🤓
do you use the wipers withoutt liquid ? wtf
Cool winter a car test

how is the new Quattro Ultra in the snow? I think it is a Haldex system. The old one was Torsen
@johnyeah183
2 жыл бұрын
VW/Audi mainly uses Haldex system on 4 cylinder transverse mounted applications like Golf R, A3/S3/RS3 etc. You can see the list of the cars running Haldex here (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haldex_Traction)

@@t3dd18it is quattro ultra, more complex. And on hogher powered you still get torsen and 8.sp.gearbox .which is.the top.combination.

@@adrianhrusca4067 I don't know for sure what system is fitted to us spec models but I am almost certain 6cylinder audi. like the one in the video has some updated system based on an old torsen system from previous model. It is basically a permanent all wheel drive while haldex or quattro ultra is predominantly front wheel drive with rear wheels being driven when there is loss of traction.
Conditions are so bad that you can stuck at every corner no matter the car but near a lady you feel so confident like driving a tank 😎
narly!
Anyone could tell me the color of this car?

@@OutofSpecReviews Oh, nice! They're letting you hang onto it for a while then
I hope you had ESP turned off. Also, all-seasons are OK, but dedicated snows are way, way better.
+1.. For raised ride height and Quattro 4x4. .. The current Subi Outback XT 2.4l turbo wagon has a little less than 2 inches of ride height on the 2020 A6 Allroad. .. Something along the lines of 7.5" for the A6 Allroad vs 9.25" for the Outback XT wagon. .. Either or,,, wagons rule. .. Man,, we miss our '95.5 Audi S6 wagon. UrS6 wagon,,, varooom!

I have a 2016 V60CC that I got to finally “test” it out on some real snow up here in Chicagoland. It handled it like a boss, even rolling on all seasons! Wagons do rule, I concur!

Upon closer review of the neu Audi Allroad 3.0l w/7sp DSG what is problematic is the "Ultra -Drive" all-wheel drive system. . In plain english Audi's "Ultra-Drive" is a shity down market, low cost "front-drive always biased" arrangement having little to none rear axle propulsion. . An enormous let down to this life long Audi Quattro S6 wagon Fan.

So Volkswagen upgraded they're all wheel drive system and Audi downgraded it. Ugh that sucks
My poor Nissan Leaf had a much harder time making out of my Fort Collins side streets. I need an EV that can handle this snow.

@@mikecriswell9431 Sorry to hear you must have had bad experiences with the Subarus that you have owned. Lucky for me to have had so many Subarus since 1982 and only one that had a "downfall" before my usual 300k miles trade-away, and that one was because the previous owner had cooked the transmission by damaging the radiator (wouldn't have known but for the odd circumstance of taking the car to the same transmission shop that showed me their records). I certainly would rather have two of my Subarus sitting in my driveway for the price of one Audi, but then I admit I buy cars for their utility value rather than any luxury considerations.

@@douglas_drew wow you have had good luck! That is awesome. Our 1st Outback seized the motor at 62k. I was lucky they replaced it even though it was after the 60k warranty. My step-daughter had a Legacy and she blew the motor but that was more of her fault. We just traded our '16 WRX in for a GTI and you cannot even compare the 2. Everything about the VW is on a different level compared to the WRX (except the awd of course since it is fwd). My son's Legacy is doing just fine. I fell in love with 0000 / VW when I lived in Germany. I am a car nut and driving enthusiast. Those don't really go with the Subaru brand. They are very good cars but I always want more out of them. Living in the PNW, I know a lot of people with Subis and they love them for sure. I do own a '13 Allroad. As a teacher, of course I bought it used and saved 25k on basically a brand new car! haha It is one of the most amazing cars I have ever driven so I am biased but there is NO way I would buy a new one. Enjoy Douglas! Stay safe out there!
Kyle, Audi Avant, no wagon whatsoever
Why don't people move from these places? The US surely has lots of cities that don't have to deal with the crap that comes with snow?
