Lahore ki garmi ma old Lahore ki moti, porani aur tandi dewaro wali buildings thandak aur sakoon ka ehsaas dilati hn. Mera clg b esa tha Islamia clg Civil lines(Before partition its name was DAV clg, Lahore).

I’m quite certain that every child in India who has received a middle school education knows who he is.. even me, who studied history in college forgot that he was buried in Lahore and got mixed up with Altamash, the next ‘Slave Dynasty’ sultan! Lahore has remained famous for its small poetic anecdote till date.Before partition there was a famous shop in Anarkali Bazar Bhalla shoe company.This shop was opened by a Khatri Hindu in the earlier twenty century,when dealing in shoe selling business was not considered as good by upper class hindu community. The whole community rebuked him and a poem was recited in the city as under:- Shehar Lahore,Bazar Anarkali, Basanti hatti Bhallay di, Hindu ho Kay boot vechda, Matt maari gai dallay di.

After watching your vlogs I'm simply BOWLED OVER... my ancestors ( mother's side ) used to live near Anarkali Bazar..one of them was a presidency surgeon in British period..his name was Sridhar Banerjee..one of his daughters name was Anarkali..what a charming beauty she had !!! I request u if u can find out the house they lived ... Thanks a lot sir ..

Subhan allah.....I get hooked watching your each video about Lahore and the heritage engulfed in it for over hundreds of years. The "dars" and the "thin bricks" took me back instantly to a house in Allahbad where Moharrum Majlises are held around 12 noon during those 10 days. Its "Dars and walls with thin bricks" have similar construction. The state of such depleted buildings; may it be a Mandir, Gurudwara, Mazar, Haveli or Church creates a depression noticing "such a wealth those living today around and in Lahore" are so ungrateful for what they have been blessed with by the Grace of God and those who built such monuments. I watch it sitting in Canada and instantly resonating how you are trying to make Lahories awake. I have only visited Lahore in summer of 1965 with my parents as a school.kid. Inshallah next time I am in Lahore I will make sure to visit as many places you have brought them to us through your videos. May God bless you and strengthen your hands + resources for doing this outstanding work. 👌👍🌷❤🇮🇳

Kutab din Abbak ruler of Delhi Sultanate in 13th century and Kutaab minar is named after him in Delhi. He was in army of Muhammad Gauri and ruled after him. Most people just read about Mughal empire history and don’t know much about Delhi Sultanate rulers. Very good video.

I am surprised people don't know Qutabdin Aibak. In indian schools we have learnt about all dynasties in History. Qutab Minar in Delhi was buikt by him and completed during Illtumish. My mother remembers Anarkali Bazar of Lahore hence watching this video. Punjabi spoken in Lahore is exactly same spoken in here in Delhi. 😊
