Such a shame the US tend not to preserve historic buildings they are pieces of art and have fascinating stories to tell . I'm in the UK England ) and you see old buildings everywhere, churches , cathedrals , pubs , homes all dating back hundreds of yrs my local church parts are still standing from 1080 . 😊
That is some classic industrial archeology. Made with plenty of bricks and then rebar in all of the concrete it's just a pleasure to the eyes. I sure would have loved to have been there to see a small train in there pushing Freight cars to the docks around those curves. I guess it's too late to place an order here anymore for some PJs for Hugh Hefner
The legend on the building explains why you are in the “Miners Mills” section of Wilkes Barre.
This is down the street from my house! I pass it every day!
A Death Metal video there would be perfect! Cannibal Corpse, and Deicide!
The 2 trucks at the 5 minute mark are 1933/34 Ford Model BB trucks. I have a 33/34 BB truck myself. 93 years old and still works. There are a few parts on those trucks that I would love to have as spares. They only had about 60HP, mechanical brakes, top speed of about 45mph. 🙂
“Thos” is an abbreviation for Thomas.
red brick old world mud flooder
Thos. is the abbreviation for Thomas. It was a silk mill. Renovation was started on it but abandoned again.
So surprised to see this out of nowhere lol. I went to the school across the tracks from it. And btw the view from the top of those steps is nice 👍 😂
Looks like it had potential to be a movie set for a apocalypse survivor type movie!!
