Yes, I personally love the newspapers. They contain WWII era world events and my local town history at the time, one of the newspapers even has an un filled out cross word puzzle (I took a photo of it and printed the cross word to a new page and started solving it 😂) thanks for the comment Allen have a great new year!

Hey big guy, that insulation in the attic that you pulled that newspaper out of is called vermiculite. Vermiculite can contain asbestos. Be careful my friend! Cool finds though!

Love the blue bottle! Very cool video! Reading the comments above, looks like someone has already mentioned asbestos, but I'd be irresponsible if I didn't add my own advice. Be super careful around that stuff, if you see it, steer clear of it. It's probably the number one danger for us relic hunters, because we're always poking around old houses. If I see it when I'm out detecting I just walk away. Not worth the risk. Happy hunting!

It's always fun looking at old newspapers to see what was going on in the world at that time. If that house was built in 1922 then the yard would be a great place to metal detect, most of the coins from that era were silver with the exception of pennies. What year were the pennies you found? The axe head didnt look old but some of the older ones can be very valuable. That 2 gallon crock is actually pretty nice and probably worth between $50-100. Sweet Blue Bromo too! Great video and exploration!

You are right about the yard, it would be a great spot to detect. The Pennie’s were modern unfortunately. I totally agree with you in the newspapers, I think they were the best thing. It’s so interesting to look back, it’s like time travel. Thanks for the comment, and all the best!

Even if it s abandonned it must still be owned by people. I don t know if you took anything but it would be a risk imo. Don't take it as a hate comment but idk if you thought about that. Great stuff though.
