Located at an altitude of 1,400m in the L’Aquila province of Abruzzo, Pescocostanzo holds a very special place in our hearts. 16 years ago when we first visited Abruzzo we stayed in this beautiful town and went skiing in Roccaraso each day - just a few minutes drive from Pescocostanzo. We immediately fell in love with Abruzzo, since that first visit and returned countless times to holiday and house hunt before eventually moving to the region.
We really hope you enjoy this video and if you haven’t already visited Abruzzo we hope that this will entice you to plan a trip soon. Abruzzo is a region for every season, you will find something to do and see all year round from art and culture, the best Italian food and wine, festivals, hiking, hacking, climbing, truffle hunting, skiing to sunbathing and much, much more
(There is also the option in 'settings' for subtitles in Italian but please excuse our mistakes)

Thank you so much for sharing your videos. My father enjoys your videos very much. My father would love to see a video of his hometown of Bagno Grande. His home there is on the right as you enter the village on Bagno via del L'quila. If you are ever in the area and make a video of Bagno Grande my father would be overjoyed to see it. As it is my father salutes you and thanks you so much for these videos of the Abruzzo Region. Me too. It stirs his memories of his childhood and I am enjoying the tales very much. Thank you again.

Thank you so much for your message, we are so pleased to hear both you and your father are enjoying our videos. It's so nice to know that we have stirred some childhood memories of your father's, please send him our best wishes. Of course, if we go to Bagno Grande we will make a point of making a video. There is so much to explore in this fabulous region. Perhaps you and he will come and visit Abruzzo together one day - we are assuming from your message you are not currently living here. Have a fabulous weekend and please do subscribe to our channel if you haven't done so already. Grazie.

Hi John. We know Popoli the birthplace of Corradino d'Ascanio very well indeed. If you go to the About section of our channel there is a link to our email. There are so many famous people with roots in Abruzzo it's quite amazing isn't it. With regard to Lanza, do you mean Mario Lanza? His maternal roots are from Tocca da Casauria, right? Also not far from Popoli. So glad you are enjoying our videos. Please do subscribe if you haven't already. Look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes Katja and Andrew

Thanks Susan. Sometimes you just can't teach an old dog new tricks as hard as you might try😂 Since that video though I think both our Italian has improved massively, definitely not anywhere near fluent unlike the kids who go to school in Abruzzo. Think we need to join them 😂
