It appears to have been stripped down on the interior- someone probably had it for renovation, realized what a huge, expensive job that would be, then abandoned it. They may have meant to come back and collect it, but never did. I’d be curious if the engine(s) is still there…

Brandon, brother. We’ve got to teach you the correct parts of a boat. You were looking for a steering wheel saying you could see out of the windows of the galley. 😂 A galley is where you eat. You were standing in the wheelhouse or bridge.

Love everything abandoned. I’ve explored some pretty sketchy places in my free time. Going out the weekend after the 4th of July to explore a 13 mile stretch of abandoned turnpike. Heard there’s a couple cool things out there from the 60s. Super cool ship left to history ❤

I spent many vacations at Jekyll Island with my family too. It looks so different now.

What you need to do if you liked the abandoned mansion series is you need to ( after you find the old owner/'s ) is see about recovering it dry docking it and rebuilding it to working order. But you will have to see if the winch can handle your mini sub...

It probably got pushed down that canal by storm surge during a hurricane, and is now in way too shallow of water to ever get out.

So I located this wreck on Google Earth Pro and the satellite pictures only show this ship being here as of July 2023, which begs the question how did this get here in such bad shape. There is a smaller boat in the same spot from January 2022, and cloud cover in July 2022. It looks as the smaller vessel is now just to the north of this ship on the bend in the canal. Really bizarre. (I only found it because I work in the area and was able to use context clues to search for it)

As much as I know all of us would love to see you all stay in it overnight but you all weren’t feeling good in just the few hours that you all were breathing those fumes from the diesel, I can’t imagine how you all would feel doing a whole night on there I wouldn’t do it. We would rather you be safe and healthy than put it in jeopardy for a video. Other than that great video been rocking with you for years keep it up!

My guess is someone couldn't pay their bills and they purposely took everything of value and sunk the boat knowing that it wouldn't be recovered

I think it was a Reasech vessel then it was 2nd hand bought made into a deep sea fishing and diving boat then a hurricane came and blew it to where it sits today abandoned never to have an owner again
