Exploring a Very Old JUNKYARD: Is there anything good left?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

If you mosey out to rural southeast Indiana you might come across ol' Shore's Oil Company, service shop, towing service, gas station, and junkyard. you'll find four or five old timers in bibs and John Deere hats drinking coffee. if you look across the street you'll see an ancient junkyard with old 50's steel slowly sinking into the earth. there is a good amount of 70's stuff that separate the late models from the partially submerged sheet metal of the 40's and 50's rust. while there wasn't much to buy, and believe me I was trying, this place is a joy to look upon. we explored a bit and really enjoyed the aesthetic views these rusty beauties had to offer.

17:20 I'd be looking for 348 W motors with the funky valve covers. People are paying stupid money for the 348/409s now 😂

That Pontiac Combination car was made by Superior Coach. I had a 66 Bonneville, and the upper part of the rear door was fiberglass, and the bottom was metal. The glass in that car That's not broken or frosted is worth a couple of bucks. Exclusive to those cars.

50's 60's VW beetle's 'reserve' fuel selector was on the gas tank under the front deck lid, worked kinda like on Honda motorcycles, it changed over from the normal stubby fuel pickup tube that pointed down into the tank to the longer reserve fuel pickup tube. think it was on the fuel gauge sending unit cover- been about 50-55 years since I last saw one.😁

Good information, I appreciate you sharing! I thought I had seen something about a reserve switch but couldn't say for sure.

I have a 50 Oldsmobile 88 futuramic two-door and would love to get exterior trim pieces and a piece for the interior. Nothing needs to be perfect and I love replace my bumpers. 1950 Chevy were despised. They weren't popular until after the movie American graffiti. Like to 1963 they were always overshadowed by the 1964 for some unknown reason. Even though I own both. Now The taste is changed. I subscribed to your channel I like what I see.

I wanted to buy something just to be courteous to the old timer who owned it but dang it was tough to find something. I should have bought the slickside windshield there at the end and that bumpside rear slider
