There are palms, aroids, bromeliads, ferns, orchids, nepenthes and a butterfly collection.
There’s even an epiphytic cycad, growing in a hanging basket - a real rarity.

    Cairns botanical gardens is great one to visit. Went there in Feb the Aboriginal plant use garden was well worth it i learnt a thing or two here.

    Been there a few times . Beautiful. The vast majority of those plants will grow as far south as the Brisbane subtropical region if planted in semi-protected positions , but do best north of Mackay.

    Interested In The Cecoropia peltata!.. ( Trumpet Tree) I’ve Bin Told It’s Vey Invasive!..I’m Interested In It’s Healing Benefits Of The Leaves That Looks Alittle Bit Like a Papaya (Paw Paw) But, Much Bigger!..I Had One Which I Thought Was a Weed!..So, I Pulled It Out!

    They're not tropical. Matter of fact, the best specimen I have ever seen is in Kew Gardens, London, growing out in the open!
