I need more information. Why was the captain kept as a prisoner? Why and how was he the only one captured? If he was the only one captured, why did it take many days for the crew to show up? If the settlers didn't know why the people changed, why did the captain feel comfortable with possibly infecting the rest of the crew on the ship? If the LT finds the truth that it was genetic alterations, why is he affected? He wasn't a part of the experiment.

The ending makes no since. The original setters where genetically altered and some mutated into monsters. But he was not genetically altered, why would he mutate?

One thing to ask: Who does the artwork for your thumbnails? Two things to say: #1, I absolutely love your stories & narration & #2, you should very seriously think about putting out a series of 'short story' books... I will buy them, digital or paper!

Better than many of the other stories of the series, but still hamstrung by predictability and tired old tropes. WHY would a ship's commander expose his entire team , all at the same time to the unknowns of an unfamiliar environment?
