My husband LOVES the invicta watches as well. WE will be sailing on this ship in November.

Awesome video thanks for doing this. Our next cruise is coming up on Explorer of the Seas in February 2024 which will be our 11th on Royal. We have booked using next cruise on 5 seperate occasions and found the discounts much better than anything else we could find plus there are some perks you can get if you use next cruise while sailing. Keep the videos coming your both awesome at it. Cheers.

Great review. Much different than other review(ers); felt like I was behind the camera filming.

The only cruise I've done so far was with Royal back in 2008, a honeymoon trip to Alaska and it was wonderful! Saw orcas swimming by the ship during dinner one night and it was just so beautiful! Headed on my next cruise with them this October to the Greek Isles on this ship so thank you for showing me what the ship looks like!

Thanks so much for this video! I've cruised in Alaska and in Europe with both Royal and Disney. They both do a great job! We found the food to be better on Disney cruises, but the Alaska itinerary is definitely superior on Royal because they offer one-way cruises as opposed to Disney's roundtrip cruises, so you get to go to a fourth port plus spend some time in Alaska before or after your cruise.

I'll be on that one with my hubby as well 10/15-10/23 also our first cruise! Yaaaay!

We have used Next Cruise many times. We still check the pricing throughout the year online to see if the price drops. Price drops do happen and all you have to do is call Royal and they will rebook and give you the lower price. Using the Next Cruise is great if you want to book Back to Back cruises as the agent can show you available rooms on each ship very easily.

@@cassiepayten678 you can have them rebook until your last payment is due. Once you pay off the cruise the price is locked in. I guess they to not want to issue a refund

My parents used the nextcruise office to book our Alaska cruise in 2019!! It’s so pretty and you always have to be ready to take pictures because you’ll never know when you see something cool! We saw whales off the back of the ship!

i did an alasken cruise on this exact ship back in 2018

It is so worth booking your next cruise online. Its always cheaper and you get special perks as far as cruise credit. You can always keep checking the price and if it goes down you can get the cheaper price. We booked our 12 night British isles cruise for next year in August and got a great price. We have done Alaska 3 times. Royal ships were great but our favorite was on Princess land and sea. We did Denali, the train and then cruised. We loved it.

It's cool seeing you guys outside of Branson. I think I watched all your SDC videos that led up to our family's vacation last week. Now, my mom and I are just beginning to explore cruise options for next spring. We're thinking Mediterranean around the Greek islands. I've been on 4 cruises myself, but all in the Caribbean.

I recently went on Explorer June19-25th, I’m surprised on how dead it looks compared to my trip. On my cruise it was way livelier, like you could walk anywhere on ship and find people tanning, dancing, or drinking lmao.

My wife noticed Amy was wearing a Duck shirt lol

My fiance and I are taking a trip on this ship in April. It was a last minute choice and I wanted to get some idea what to expect. We wanted an alternative way to get back to Europe with all the flight delays on a 14 day cruise. He's most excited for the stop in the Azores since he's Portuguese but never had the chance to get there. We have a couple lovely days to explore Rome before heading back to his home in the UK for a few months before we're off to Portugal. :) Since I'm west coast US we are also taking Amtrak all the way to Miami to get to the cruise ship and making it a full experience for a month.

HI, Thanks for sharing your experience. I do have a question. Is it worth it to book shore excursions from Royal Caribbean or should I look at other websites?

We have done it both ways. Sometimes, you can save a little money by booking externally, but it can be worth the extra for the ease of booking directly through Royal. We usually only book elsewhere if Royal doesn't offer the excursion we want.

How did you upgrade? At what point?

Which room number were you? We will be on deck 7 in an ultra spacious ocean view room here at the end of the month.

I didn't see the water slides. Did I just miss them, or are there none on this ship?

Were we on the same cruise? 6/25-7/3

I'm assuming this is the same class ship as Voyager of The Seas? This ship is identical; or very similar at least. (amenities-wise) I just came off the Voyager of Seas doing the Scandinavian tour and looking to get back out there already :D - This time Mediterranean cruise!

HELP! I'm going on my first Royal Caribbean cruise in Jan 2023, having only been on Celebrity ships up to this point. I am very interested to find out if there is a place in the buffet dining room where you can just have access to a water fountain and ice machine to fill water bottles. Celebrity ships have multiple stations in the buffet dining area where you can get your tea, coffee, lemonade, ice and water fountains and I am hoping I will find something like this on Royal. One thing I have found so far is that in speaking to Royal's 800# I have not yet spoken to an agent who has traveled on their own ships and can answer this basic question for me which is putting Royal on a not-so-desirable list for me in future sailings.

There are free beverage stations at or near the buffet (water, tea, lemonade, etc). Otherwise, there are cups of these free beverages sitting out or being distributed by staff and you can just fill your bottle with a couple of those.

Do you have the same restaurant every night with assigned time dining or do you rotate?

Unless you book a specialty dining restaurant, it's the same restaurant every night, but the menu changes. We had "my time" dining, so we could show up whenever during dinner hours (though there might be a bit of a wait).

RC sent an email with a link to bid on an upgrade. We won the bid.

It was more expensive on the cruise to book a new cruise. I waited and booked over the phone and it was like $400 cheaper!

Depends on the cruise line, but typically ages 12 and older must be vaccinated.
