I am surprised the Explorer doesn't have the interactive kiosks on the walls yet. Its just a matter of time I'm sure. I love walking the halls and decks early in the morning too, to walk off some of that great food. Great video.

"Baked beans, interesting" ha ha ha ha. This is definitely more for British guests onboard. With an "English breakfast" baked beans are a must !!!! Kind regards Ian, Liverpool, England

Beautiful video. I also did the Explorer of the Seas from Bayonnne on Aug 14, 2013. It was my first cruise and I've been hooked on cruising ever since. I try to go at least once a year........And yes...Washie...Washie..Washie.

That is quite a spread for a breakfast buffet! Loved the narration and descriptions of the food items. I believe the pot of white stuff at 8:45 is chinese rice porridge(congee). You should do more of this!

I read the "comments" and marvel. Some love the food and some don't. Really? What planet do they live on? I've been on RCCL Grandeur, Explorer, and Sovereign, and honestly, some of the food is outstanding...you don't like something, you order something else, you don't like the buffet, go to the dining room. Complaints of smoking in the casino....really? What casino in the world doesn't have smoking?? I thank goodness I am not on the ship dealing with the guests because some are just unreal.

The early bird gets the worm, 7.00 am is early on a ship. Nice selection of breakfast foods though

I was on that ship a month after you were! Love that ship been on it three times. Now I really want to go on the Freedom and Oasis class ships. Btw when are you gonna do more cruise videos cause I always really enjoy them and you have such a great personality!

Rich F We are going on Freedom of the Seas at the end of the month, Liberty of the Seas in October, and Anthem of the Seas in November. I was really into doing these videos for awhile. I actually thought I could make money doing them and enjoy what I was doing. Well no money but I think I will go back to doing them anyway since I enjoy them. Thanks for the words of encouragement.

Well done with this video. Do you remember if there was a section just for gluton free food or were those selections randomly placed, just labeled? Now, tell me, would you do this again? I mean, on this particular ship? Also, did you find yourself bored at any point? Im wanting to go on a cruise but Im afraid ill be bored to tears at some point. Anyway, thank you for sharing.

There is gluten free food but it is not separate just labeled. We are going on Explorer in December again. Nice ship, but is really starting to show wear. Next year it is being refurbished. I am not bored at all on a cruise and I can not sit still ever. There is lots to do and when you are in port you can get off the ship and go do something off the ship.

Ok - serious question- I am thinking if I go on a cruise like this I will gain 20 pounds in a week. What has been people’s experience with weight gain?

My daughter and I got off our 6 day/5 night cruise on the Explorer of the Seas Thursday, Feb 26th. First few days were great and we were both SO excited.. We decided to bypass the Windjammer and eat in the formal dining room since we heard it was 'lobster night' Surprised to be served instant mashed potatoes and rice plus 1 (yes..ONE) small broccoli floret, small lobster piece, with my dinner. My daughter ordered the tortellini. A huge bowl was set in front of her with 5 lone very small pieces of pasta. They really push the hand sanitizing at all times which we did faithfully. That 3rd night on the boat we were both terribly ill, to the point where we couldn't enjoy our last port of call Nassau. Glad I brought my own Gravol. Its now 4 days later and I'm still dealing with a bit of a queasy tummy. This all really saddened me.

Hi Terri, I am sorry to hear you were and are still sick. I have heard of people getting the norovirus on cruises. Scares me a little bit. Hope you feel better soon. I have never felt that I have not gotten enough food in the main dining room. But I hear that cruise lines keep cutting back or is it the fact that people are tyring to cut back on their portion sizes. But, instant mashed potatoes is just not right. My husband says that it is possible that something happened with their potatoes that night. He eats the mashed all the time and said he has never had instant.

Definitely instant potatoes because I gave some to my daughter and they were not the 'real mccoy' No doubt about it. I don't think it was Noro and the reason I say that is because (apologies for being crude), it was just wicked stomach upset, and throwing up with no having to sit on the toilet bowl.

Pizza is served all of the time in the Promenade Cafe and plenty of the time in the Windjammer, I would reckon also in a specialty Italian restaurant called Giovanni'sTable. REPLY

Delores: Question for you re Explorer of the Seas (or Royal Caribbean). When purchasing a drink at any bar (beer/cocktail), can I pay cash for it, at that time? Also, same question for any other items purchased on ship? Cash? or Charged to room on credit card? Thanks much.

You open a seapass account when you get on the ship and everything you buy on the ship has to be charged back to your room. You can pay off your charges that you place on the seapass accouint each day or whenever you want in cash or by credit card.

Just got off that ship in May 2016 after 23 days aboard. I am sorry to disagree with you, but the food was terrible. I have cruised many, many times on different cruise lines and this food was the absolute worst I have ever experienced.

Just come off this ship..The food is awful , which is warmed up daily resulting in rubbery rice and hard pasta. In the formal dining room I had a lump of turkey with 2 small roast potatoes 2 small sprouts and 2 small carrots. Smoking allowed in the casino, not nice if you have chest problems,,The entertainment was not very good. Will not be cruising again on this ship..

LONG WINDED. Yakes 2.30 sec just to walk from her cabin to the dining room. Focus is bad, camera is not steady, commentary is poor camera moves too fast and does focus on any particular dish. All in all a terrible video and I am non the wiser about the breakfast as I was before I watched this. Total waste of time
