    This is great work! A video or two like this for the major learning series would greatly increase the immersion in learning. Such applications of technology are difficult, but when used for education the effort is worth it! Great job, Thought Café!

    +Fahad Assaf In my opinion, they could have made more out of the 360 video. One did not gain any new information by turning. College Humor made a brilliant example of a 360 video. If you did not turn your sight, you would have believed mike his story, beacause it was fully convincing, as long as you only watched him, as he told you in the beginning. If you however decided to watch the rebell and watch the Background your view was not only very interesting and funny, it also revieled that he was a liar. people seemed friendly and normal and friendly or creepy and strange depending on your actions.

    +TheLineCutter It's not that special. Imagine a hires video where you are zoomed into a small part. That's what you see and also why you have such poor resolution even though you have selected "HD". The only thing that's really different from a simple zoomed in video is that there is distortion added while displaying to give the effect of looking around and not just panning.

    So far I spotted: the Planet Express space ship, Apollo, a CC astronaut, another astronaut with glasses (Phil?), a purple creature, the Tardis, Silver Surfer I assume, an imperial star destroyer, a weird space ship with two guys and an oblong thing (a satellite?) near Neptune. Any hint?

    So if the "p" in 1080p means "progressive scan", what does "s" stand for?

  • @UrbanPanic

    +Ganaram Inukshuk Spherical. Basic purpose is for 360 videos like this.

  • @Dorraj

    @Dorraj

    7 жыл бұрын

    If you flatten the video out, it'd be in 1080p. The "s" is basically saying "in 360 video mode" but directly means "spherical". It's taking a normal 1080p video (that wouldn't look very normal at that point) and stretching it in a sphere around a point that the video allows you to "look around" in.

    +HE NEED SOME MILK When watching 360 video you pretty much have to pick 4K(2160P) if you want good quality or the video will look like shit. 1080p is not really 1080p when the video is spherical. However most people's computers can't handle 4K or their internet is not fast enough, so they will have a shitty experience. Also the best way to watch these videos is on your phone.

    +karthik11512 Actually what you mean to say is 1080p is not equal to 1080s so you have to use 2160s to get comparable quality to 1080p. It's because the stream is much larger in canvas area if you imagine it flattened out
