Explore the National Trust’s Blickling Estate with Percy the Park Keeper’s creator Nick Butterworth

Follow children’s author and illustrator Nick Butterworth on a visit to Blickling Estate in Norfolk, where he explores his love of trees, nature, and the outdoors and describes the influence it’s had on his work.
The creator of Percy the Park Keeper also gets to meet Percy’s National Trust equivalent, Countryside Manager Stuart Banks, who takes Nick to meet some of Blickling’s oldest ‘veteran’ trees and explains why they are so important for nature.
This winter, families can enjoy Percy the Park Keeper winter wander trails at many of our places. Fund out more at www.nationaltrust.org.uk
We protect and care for places so people and nature can thrive. Everyone can get involved, everyone can make a difference. Nature, beauty, history. For everyone, for ever.

I would love to come visit. But at £15 per adult and £7.50 for a child and then a further £5 for parking, it simply isn't affordable for a lot of people. I'll be having a walk in Wells instead.

Hello simbobcrafts4843 thanks for getting in touch. We review all visitor charges every year taking account of comments received from supporters and visitors who have written to us. We set subscription rates and visitor charges at levels which strike a balance between raising the income needed to fulfil our charitable aims, making visiting as affordable as possible, and reflecting the benefits admission provides. If income were to be significantly reduced, we would no longer be able to meet our responsibilities and would not be able to make all our places open to everyone in the way we now do.
