I had the doctor that performed my explant try to convince me numerous times before my surgery that I need a lift or to have another set of implants. I kept telling him that I was ready to be flat chested at 50 and that I did not need implants to make me feel better. I’ve been battling out of nowhere fibromyalgia, RA, severe hair loss, severe metal fog aches and pains all over my body, gut issues, anxiety and depression. Yet the surgeon just kept telling me that it couldn’t be my implants because I have normal saline implants. I decided that it was the right choice for me no matter what anyone else thought and today it’s been 5 days. I feel that I made the right choice and my boobs don’t even look that bad. Don’t listen to anyone other than your body. I hope to loose all the weight I’ve gain. I’ve gained 40lbs no matter what I eat so I hope the explant I g also helps with the weight gain. Good luck to all!

Have you had any success losing the weight? I’m seeing an endocrinologist for blood tests of thyroid, hormones, etc this week after explant in January 2020, nothing I’ve done has helped me lose weight since. I’ve tried diets, clean eating, fasting, working out 2 hours a day, walking extensively, etc. fingers crossed the testing will help get my body back to a healthy state. Would love to hear how your time has gone!

Bonnie, you are beautiful and vibrant. I am 3 days post explant. So glad to have the 13 year old fake things out of me. I am small but ready to look athletic like you. Thanks for your honesty. Yes, it’s difficult to see all the scars that I could have done without if I had not been so vain back in the day. I am now a new creation. I submit my pride to God who helps me daily to keep it all in check. God bless all the ladies on here who are pre, post or thinking about it.

I am scheduled for explant in 19 days! 17.5 year old silicone under the muscle that I cannot wait to be rid of! The symptoms have been increasing over the years with no answers.... low white blood cells, random hair loss, rash on my body that lives predominantly under my breasts... enough is enough and I am READY! Bring on the pain of healing and the power of new beginnings! Thank you for you videos!!

I’m watching this video on my couch 10 days post Explant. My situation was a bit different as I’ve had implants for 15 years and was done for reconstructive purposes from a deformity. It was time for an implant exchange and at my last pre op my surgeon suggested an explant as I’ve had 4 surgeries thus far. I was initially thrilled and was all for it. Up until that moment, 10 days prior to surgery, I didn’t know this was an option for my specific case AND planned on getting a smaller implant. I’m currently on the couch recovering and although I hated how big and heavy my boobs became, I am sad and shocked seeing my D+ chest now maybe a A maybe B. Even with a lift I feel like it just doesn’t look like me or fits my natural apple body shape. Ive always been envious of small breasts on more slender shapes I appreciate your update and speaking on the emotional aspect of the explant. I don’t like how my body looks but hopeful and grateful I don’t have to go through an another surgery. My paths came back clear-praise Jesus!! I have heard multiple people say they woke up from surgery more clear, I woke up loopy 😂. Thank you again for the raw and honest truth! I appreciate you speaking on your faith, God is good and I’m trying to remember my identity is in God and not in my boob size

Gena-unknown. I too had explant, now 68, after 45 years with implants. I understand where you're coming from re: "I don't feel like me anymore" I feel much lighter without bigger boobs but my body, even at 68 is not as balanced or as attractive. I know that's a terrible thing to say, but I'm being truthful. I only had my implants removed because of extreme joint pain with no medical reason from doctors. My joint pain has definitely eased since surgery, for that I'm truly thrilled. I avoid looking at myself when naked now, even at 68, something I'm not used to. Some would say, why would you worry , you're old now. To them I would reply, wait till you're 68 and then comment. I am still a woman and care how I look, clothed or not. I had my implants initially, at age 23, as I had a physical deformity(pigeon chest)..My deformity is now obvious again without implants so not everyone explanting will feel the same as I. I also had a lift after the explant which is ok, but not great. Goodluck with your weight loss.🙏

Thank you for your video. I am having my implants removed in 10 days and am very nervous. I have had them, with one change, for 45 years. I've had loads of blood test, xrays to find out why I have so much pain right through my body...apart from a tiny bit of arthritis that showed up. Nothing showed up, yet my body is racked with pain and my feet have extreme nerve damage and numbness(again, no doctor can say why). I'm praying my explant surgery will help my health and my quality of life.🙏

@@natgoaway3101 Recovered well thank you. I think it's safe to say now, 4 months after having my implants removed, that my joint pain is considerably diminished. My new, much smaller breast size took some time to get used to after 45 years since having initial implants..but I feel so much lighter now, quite liberating actually👍...But....I have a chest deformity, that's why initial implants, that deformity even more noticeable with age now...so, taking me a while to get used to my now chest. But on the whole, I think I did the right thing.🙏

Hi Bonnie, I had my explant surgery and lift 6 days ago and so glad I did it. I had them for 24 years!!!! They were intact and of course incapsulated but overall were in good shape. But have have had some issues over the years that I am looking forward to seeing if they go away. Things like Vitamin D deficiency, brain fog, digestive issues, migraines and muscle pain in neck and shoulder as well as some aching feet. Thank you for your videos and also book recommendation of Busting Free. I do not feel alone in this anymore! Which I had for so many years.🥰

Thank you so much for your story, and your beautiful honesty in it …..I am planning on explanting and cannot wait to get them out! I am nervous much like you first described as I met my husband after I had them but I am so tired of all the pain and having little to no energy to exercise after eating so very carefully and taking care of my body the best way I know how to with a plant based diet - my blood work thank God is perfect but the foggy brain and joint pain have been so debilitating at times and I’m an artist too so I completely empathize with your journey and have hope in it ❤I can’t wait to check out your darling books and again, I so appreciate you sharing your walk in this to give people like me hope - when you hold up your implants and say this is not devastating, goodness that so puts all of this into perspective- it’s sad that our society has made us feel like having inches of silicone strapped to our chest will make us more feminine and desirable/ I’m looking forward to reading the book you suggested as well/ Gods blessings to you and I’m grateful for all this!

I hate the way they look now (perhaps others do like the way they look) so not liking the way they look after the explant BUT feeling better and healthy seems so much more important to me. And I hear you that you are so happy with your health benefits. Breasts do not make us beautiful or sexy. That comes from within.

I just found your video. Thank you so much for sharing and for your honesty on how it has impacted you especially emotionally!! I had my implants put in 6 years ago after having a partial mastectomy on one side. I wish that I did more research before but it was such a vulnerable time for me at just 40 years old. I have been debating having them removed because even though I chose a small size, they are heavy and hurt. I now have what I have been told “benign cyst clusters” around my implant on my left side. They get very painful but doctors keep making me feel like it’s nothing and no big deal. After listening to others go through explant experiences and doing my research on how toxic implants are, I am definitely having them removed.

I’m 55 and 8 months post explant. My first set was silicone. One ruptured soon after a mammogram. I remember saying out loud I just wanted them out and be done with implants. My ex husband and the surgeon talked me out of it. Saline implants went in, larger than I asked for. I came out a D. Too big for my body frame. I definitely had health issues with the silicone. I had the second set removed due to how hard the became and they shifted. It’s true , my head felt clear instantly after explant. 3 weeks post explant , I went online and read Danica Patrick’s story and she has a list of health issues she was experiencing and I circled several. The brain fog cleared. I had tingling and numbing which stopped. Joint pain in my right hand and knee. Headaches diminished. Anxiety. Dry mouth and a choking feeling. Eczema on my breast. The experience was emotional, that’s natural but I keep in my the health risk involved with implants and my health is #1! There’s no way I will ever have implants again.

I wish I had listened to my inner voice going through the process and asked more questions and done my own research. I wouldn’t have gotten implants knowing my own history and what I have learned since then. I’m having symptoms, that in retrospect, started shortly after reconstruction. They’re not really bad, but I don’t want them to get any worse. I’m exploring explantation with some hope I can find a surgeon who can give me some breast reconstruction options with my own tissue… nothing big. Just a little curve would be amazing. I’m doing well and very optimistic, I have my somatic practices…they got me through cancer treatment, they’ll get me through this. I appreciate your wisdom and optimism. Thank you again ❤

Never knew this could’ve been related to the implants till one day I saw my boobs portion turning green! Yes green! I developed a rash on top of one of them. Then I put one and one together and started researching now I know 100% it’s the implants also not to mention brain fog and unable to concentrate leaky gut, bloating, fibroma, bad headaches allergies! I have decided to take them out! I will be in the process of looking for a good surgeon who can alleviate this nightmare! Plus I think smaller boobs looks more elegant and younger!

I’m 5’3” 120lbs w implants. Though the fatigue, depression, and other symptoms are still here, I’m certain this is temporary, as my body is detoxing. I need to give myself more time. I’ve been a nurse for 32+ yrs and understand that I’m detoxing and need to be patient. I am glad I got the lift. With the implants being so large, not having a lot of breast tissue, for me, it was a good choice. Research and make the best choice w you and your surgeon.

305Alligator..I agree but sadly, some of us had deformities of the chest or mastectomy though....and felt implants would help us feel better about ourselves. My case was a chest deformity. I'm now 68..had them put in initially at 23. Just explanted with lift. In short, feel so much better joint pain wise, which is wonderful. Bodily though, deformity even more noticeable with age after explant. Can't look at myself naked anymore. You may say, you're old though, why worry ? I am a woman, at any age...I have always looked after myself and my body. I am not me anymore, physically anyway. There's no shame in admitting that. I think it's important to warn woman, especially older woman, 50 upwards, who have had implants for many years, going through this, you may feel an incredible loss after surgery. That's not being vain, that's just being truthful.

I explanted on 1/9 for BII & had a lift w/ fat grafting. I am so disappointed. I assumed seeing a well respected & experienced surgeon would make me look great, but much smaller. Due to a capsular contraction on one side, all of the fat grafted had to go to that side to make it the same size as the other. She said due to my small frame, there was not enough fat to graph. Did she even look at my body? While I am not obese, I have plenty of fat in my belly, flanks, hips, thighs & arms. My nipples are no longer round, but oval & are not at the same level. The shapes are very different. She offered a revision, but I don’t have a lot of extra money laying around or time to be off work. I don’t know what to do. I hate what I see in the mirror, but don’t want to undergo another surgery. My BII symptoms are resolving & for that I am grateful, but all I see is deformity which I never expected.

I'm so sorry. I can relate... I wasn't sure what I would look like after explant- my surgeon did not recommend a lift (I'm glad i didn't)and he believes that fat grafting often doesn't take when done at the same time as explant, PLUS you don't know if you need it or where you need it. That made sense to me. So.... for 6 months I impatiently waited for the "fluff fairy" who never came, and as I got leaner I watched what little tissue I had shift into an undesirable shape. (I didn't care about the size!! But I did care about the shape I was left with.) Last week (at 7 1/2 months post- explant) my surgeon performed fat grafting and so far I am pleased with the results and grateful for his wisdom on timing. I hope you get some peace in the present and clarity about next steps- maybe even a second or third opinion?? In the meantime, PLEASE read Busting Free by Dr. Amanda Savage Brown. EXTREMELY helpful with the mental aspect. Love and Light!

I had mine removed 2 weeks ago I have to say I am surprised that it doesn't hurt as bad as I thought I would. I am trying not to do to much but it is hard. Putting things low before surgery helped. I got me a grabber from the dollar tree and I use my step stool. I had my implants deflated 2 months before surgery. My capsules removed and a lift. I can totally relate to the some moments I am okay with the way they look and then sometime I am not. Then I remember why I did it and that its just me and my insecurities. I am blessed to be able to have me back. On the plus side he removed a good size fiber cyst that I have had for as long as I had implants.
