As explained by Osho...The Mantra represents the sound impact as each syllable affects different parts of the body right from the head to bottom of the spinal cord. When you chant OM , the sound remains and comes from the head, Mani reverbates near the heart , padme near navel and hum near bottom of the spinal chord. I hope the meaning now is clear that this mantra was created to impact these parts of your body-mind and that now you see this mantra in a different lens. Indeed a great mantra and a great help from the enlightened one.
