That's because during his era, there wasn't much paperwork that really needed to be done outside of filing missions and what not. Now that the Five Great Nations are allies with one another and the technology in that world has developed so quickly, Naruto's ass is stuck to the office to keep up with the high demands of new technology and expanding the village.

Here’s how I see Konoha’s military composition- Even though Jonin are probably the most frequently seen in the series they are supposed to be the rare elites that the village entrust as sensei to teams of 3 new Genin and other important positions. It is also rare for Genin to stay Genin for their entire careers, I’d say the majority of them are under the age of 20. So the majority of Konoha’s forces are definitely Chunin level. Here’s the numbers I have- 21% Genin 59% Chunin 20% Jonin Of those Jonin- 7% squad leaders (1/4th of all new squads would be Jonin) 5% ANBU members (Jonin with the right personality for it) 8% new Jonin or Jonin in other roles (Neji, Shizune, Ibiki, etc) Anyone have any thoughts on that?

The decision for Kage is actually different from village to village. In Konoha, the succeeding Hokage is handpicked by the current Hokage. In Suna, the Kazekage seem to be decided by bloodline as if they were royalty. In Suna they literally have a "Kazekage Clan". Now Iwa, Kiri, and Kumo are anyone's guess. In the case of Iwa, the First, Third, and Fourth Tsuchikage were all related but the Second Tsuchikage, who was not related to them, was chosen, suggesting to a combination of selection like in Konoha and a royalty-like system like in Suna. The same goes for Kumo seeing as though the Third and Fourth Raikage (the latter of which was immediately chosen to be the next Raikage following his father's death) were related while the Fifth Raikage, who was not related to them, was chosen by the Fourth. Meanwhile in Kiri, it seems like the Mizukage is elected by the populace similarly to the president seeing as, with the exception of Mei, no Mizukage was alive to choose their successor and none of them share blood ties to one another. Additionally, due to the militaristic history that Kiri has, it is safe to say that the Mizukage is elected solely based on the candidate's strength.

For all those who think Naruto is both Hokage and Genin, in borate episode 48, when it was written in the subtitles that Naruto is still a genin, it's just a mistranslation. In Japanese, the sentence is in the past tense : since I never past the chuunin exam, I was a Genin the entire time (before becoming Hokage). Anyway, Masashi Kishimoto stated himself in an interview that "Naruto didn't become a jounin, he became Hokage as a Genin". As a matter of fact, Hokage itself is a title. Otherwise, if he is still a Genin, how could he receive mission from someone if he is the one who gives order to every Shinobi of the Leaf.

What role do feudal lords play in naruto? I've always wondered whether or not they outrank the kage.

It was explained somewhere that both the Daimyō(Feudal Lord) and Kage are both equal in rank. There's no superior rank between the two. The Daimyō is suppose to fund their Hidden Village and the village in return is suppose to act as a standing army for their nation. Although, the Hidden Village has the luxury of acquiring funds from outside sources(missions). If one ever decided to make a power-play, I suspect the Daimyō would be completely helpless to do anything about it.

I never thought I'd see naruto fans this stupid. Itachi reanimated would decimate sasori unless you're putting sick and ill itachi up against him. Itachi not sick would wipe the floor with sasori though. Even if they were equal in strength which they clearly aren't as itachi has Susano and Amaterasu two of the most hacks ability in the series itachi is still much smarter then sasori, and if you e actually watched naruto intelligence is almost as important as power. Outsmarting is 90% of the show, also itachi tanked sasuke strongest move Kirin without even bringing the full Susano out and you think sasori is just going to waltz on through it as long as he doesn't hit the shield? Also keep in mind this was when itachi was sick also, everything about him would be improved a lot if he wasn't. Even when itachi was gettin hit in the fight zetsu kept saying itachi should be able to easily dodge the moves. Itachi was holding back and very ill and he still beat sasuke and tanked his hardest hitting move without even full Susano and one shorted orochimaru with it in middle of fight and you think sasori has a chance against healthy itachi?

Jinchuriki isn't necessarily stronger than kage. A base naruto without kurama with sage mode is stronger than Kages even without 6 paths. But 2-7 jinchurikkis were way less stronger

They call them the Legendary Sannin, meaning the legendary 3 Ninjas, because they were the best ninjas of their time and all trained by the 3rd Hokage. Sannin by itself is just 3 ninjas.

I'm pretty sure Hayatte Geko specialized in kenjutsu. I think there was a single episode on him. I also looked it up and found: Hayate was a very powerful kenjutsu (swordsmanship in the Naruto franchise) user. He easily became tokubetsu jonin, and was even “chosen” to be revived in the Fourth Great Ninja War by Kabuto, where he once again showed off his Dance of the Crescent Moon technique.

Yeah I think Sasuke would be deemed an S-rank (missing nin?). don't need to be a jonin to get that label I believe and Kakashi made Naruto become Chunin then jonin so he could be Hokage

And Kakashi was the ONLY ONE that has ALL THE RANKS! He was in Academy, Genin, Chunin, Jonin, Anbu, Hokage. Well he wasn't Special Jonin but still he was the only one (as i know) with all the ranks. That's the real definition of a badass

Here's a vid you could try out. How about explaining the actual world of naruto? Like the full geography (full maps are shown many times in the show), all the lands and key geopgraphical/historical landmarks in them. Theres alot more than just the 5 main nations and you could even try theorising on where the other named lands might fit in the un-named sections of the shown maps, you can figure it out if you try =P

A lot of the genin in the original Naruto series had Chunin or even Jonin level feats (Naruto, Sasuke, Rock Lee, Gaara, Kabuto, Choji, Shikamaru, Neji, Kankuro). All of them were able to beat or match the strength of Chunin+ characters or did the same against who did.

Don't matter the rank, if you aren't a secondary character, or important to the story, you are a stormtropper period. Example: Naruto is fighting Madara, a group of non important chunnins and jounins are nearby ( they have kunai in hand) Madara summons his susano, naruto his kyuubi, they WALK towards each other The ninjas go flying and die, meanwhile genin konohamaru is watching by just covering himself with his arms

When I first watched the chunin exam and the build up to it. It became harder to believe that Iruka was a chunin. Always wondered, Iruka really passed that? Doesn’t look that tough. But I guess that’s the perspective Boruto had about Naruto in the beginning I guess.
