Okay you know what I think I should pin this comment… now I’m not pointing out specific people because I’m not petty but I want to say that the Criticism of my voice is because I was Ill with Covid at the time. Now I know that that isn’t an excuse, but normally I find it hard to pronounce words because I am saying the scripts out loud so that everyone in my household can hear and I get a bit shy about speaking aloud. But in this case since I had covid my head was killing me, meanwhile I would rush words and make mistakes but I couldn’t edit it out because I was too Ill and plus I had a runny nose meaning that I couldn’t really speak properly either. Once again just pointing it out not targeting anyone but I have just been getting a lot of comments about it lol. Hope you enjoy the video!

The Rhinestone Eyes video never actually being made is the biggest shame in Gorillaz' history. Not only does the storyboard already look like the best Gorillaz video of all, it is also so crucial to the story.

Yeah that was quite weird on my part but at the same time…. It was quite hard to find a song to fit the context especially one where copyright wouldn’t affect the video..

26:06 I have no idea why I find it so funny that 2D survived for MONTHS off the whale carcass but never thought to venture into the “island” to see he was in Mexico given he was only 30 minutes away from a resort. Then again, the guy went through hell even before the whale ate him, so I can’t really blame him for not being completely there.

I had no idea the lore was as fleshed out as it is. thank you so much I have always been a huge fan of gorillaz and only knew like 15% of this!! Please explain cracker island plz!!

It's been a dream of mine ever since Metalocalypse for somebody to help produce a show based on the Gorillaz in the same kinda style. There's enough story for multiple seasons worth of show. Each phase could be its own season. They could even go back and include the never finished Rhinestone Eyes video for the show.

Watching the rhinestone eyes music video without knowing the lore behind it before I learned the lore was exactly like listening to someone re-tell a fever dream

This needs a ton more views this is amazing. I never really knew much about this and this just blew my mind with how good it is.

This video was really good, I appreciated you pointing out how The Gorillaz Live Band were the pirate guys in the Rhinestone Eyes video, I never knew that but it's really cool and makes sense, I thought the videos with the Gorillaz being trapped in the dressing room was just a joke about them obviously not being able to actually appear in a live show without holograms or something, but no it actually connects to the lore! Really cool stuff

@@infinitegorillaz Yes but you said this (as you can see in 17:20 ) that you just said he "relayed the plan" to the band right after the whole shooting thing without saying it was the plan for the video, which can make it hard to understand. it was overall a good video though. I learned a lot I didn't know before :) (I say this genuinely btw, in case I accidentally come off as sarcastic or something)

It's crazy how much of the history you had to leave out due to time constraints. I've been a fan since day one and you did a good job of hitting most of the highlights. You made everything seem so fun and intriguing even though it was actually a slow process of being drip-fed pointless nonsense that would never be mentioned again, endless amounts of drama, and greed...endless greed. Still love Gorillaz though.

Thank you but from what I remember everything mentioned is relevant. There was absolutely nothing left out. The lore stretched over 20 years can’t be summed up in under half an hour.

So basically Murdoc is a bardlock (in DND terms)

It's a bit hard not to have a mono voice when talking about how Murdoc almost blinded Stuart Pot in the process of scaring him with two dents in his face

russel tripping 2d might be because his eyes turned white, russel might have thought that meant he was getting possesed and thereby tripped him to stop him in his track and try to figure out who possesed him
