Explaining the ENTIRE Pokemon Food Chain
Ойындар
In the normal world, we have the almighty food chain
Birds eat bugs
Lions eat antelope
Crocodiles eat everything
And people eat apple pie
But what happens when you give that apple pie the power to fight back?
Well, you get Appletun, which fights back against Lechonk as per the pokedex it explicitly states that “When some Lechonk come along to lick the sweet nectar on Appletun's back, Appletun will spew sticky nectar at them to drive them away. “
So that begs the question to be asked, what is the entire Pokemon food chain?

Just as a quick note, STARS ARE NOT DEAD PLANETS, I didn't realize the insanity had settled in that early, but I figured I'd address and pin that here. In addition, Lapras eats fish in the Ultra Moon Pokedex, and Kyurem is rumored to eat people, just small things to note and hopefully people read this as to not be misinformed. Abra in the Sun dex is stated to eat berries in trees Skitty COULD be an ambush predator as many cats actually are Orbeetle could be eating small bugs as ladybugs do eat aphids And many apes/monkeys are omnivores as they do eat PLENTY of bugs In addition, Victini is noted in the research notes, but I didn't mention that it technically isn't a part of the food chain. That V for Victory makes it win every battle and breaks the system, making it rival Arceus The only reason I know some of these now is due to the kind constructive criticism and comments of YOU! Thank you!

Like if the pokemon company's creativity was more fleshed out with its mechanics, then some pokemon wouldn't be able to use certain items like berries, which, honestly, would be a cool and intuitive competitive change to the game.
This was always something I thought about if Pokémon were real. People wouldn’t have that many or some big ones because they would be too expensive to feed. Imagine having to buy hundreds of pounds of berries and Pokémon food a day for your Snorlax or Slaking.

This video looks awesome!! I'm sure I'll edit this comment with more detail as the video goes on: Cleffa->Clefable having front-facing eyes could be because they need the added depth of vision due to dancing requiring spatial awareness and the ability to properly measure distances I remember a pokedex entry (or maybe card entry) for Boldore stating that it carefully drinks cave water, it's possible that they're an autotroph due to sucking up mineral (and likely turgid) water

A great many issues here, the biggest I've noticed so far are saying stars are planets and the conflation of autotrophs with chemotrophs. When an organism breaks down things like minerals of rocks or target specific chemicals that are abundant in certain areas (like sulfur in volcanic regions or hydro-thermal vents), we don't call those autotrophs; we specifically call them chemotrophs.
@KrillikVA
18 күн бұрын
That's actually a really good point, I would say that would be more specific for when I made the category "inorganic heterotrophs" as I do have a bunch of Pokemon that would be perfect for chemotrophs in that case! That's actually a term I hadn't really learned before and tried finding. As for the stars, yeah, no defense there, a simple mistake from years of never learning that proper

VERY surprised and in disagreement with pretty much all of the "herbivore" picks that are based on the Pokémon being compassionate or friendly. The closest social species to Eevee are dogs or lions, which very specifically create packs/prides to hunt together. While sociality isn't exclusive to carnivores or omnivores, I'd definitely not consider it anywhere near a herbivorous trait.
