Explaining how the Foot Peddle works on the Miller Welding Machine

Hope this makes it easy to understand how I use the foot peddle to control the Miller welding machine

    I thought those foot pedals have more to them. Surprised to see they are as simple as my converted wah wah pedal. But I have not figured out yet how to make it limited by the main switch. Great vid thanks.

    Getting my "1991" Syncrowave 350 in a week or so. Wondered if possible if you could show how your syncrowave 350 is setup: single phase 230v, what size breaker, your argon gas, water cooler , etc. First time making comments. Thanks and I'm glad you are doing well now. Just saw your video on "What Happened"

  • @txsviking

    It is single phase with a 100 amp breaker. I use a WP20 water cooled torch with a Bernard water cooler. 100% argon for most things and 25/75 Helium/Argon for thicker aluminum. That's about all there is to it.

  • @MidwestMotoRider

    @MidwestMotoRider

    So if you do keep in mind not all SSD's are created equally. If you can do an NVME 2.0 that would be awesome for Video editing/rendering. Short of that use a good SSD Sata drive. Most cheaper SSD's are fast on Reads but only marginally faster on writes. You will want to put some money in a video card also since most video editors will take advantage of the GPU's in the cards.

  • @MidwestMotoRider

    I should have said a NVME 2.0 drive forgot the drive part. Basically its a SSD that goes right on the Motherboard so its faster by a lot.

    I have 1100 pounds of copper in this old Miller. That makes it work real smooth. The invertor's are a harsher type of machine.

    Never TIG welded in my life. I have acetylene welded light gage steel (diesel exhaust pipe) for 30+ years. Just bought a Miller Dialarc 250HF but no TIG equipment. Just wondering if it would be worth it to buy the TIG setup vs keep on gas welding? I am good at gas welding but it would be nice to adjust heat mid-steam. Worth $500+ for the foot pedal setup?

  • @txsviking

    @txsviking

    For exhaust work, acetylene is fine. I can't work without a foot pedal doing what I do.

    I know what ya mean Gator. We had a problem with a leaky sink and I was in the middle of doing something when this malady was pointed out to me. I told the lovely lady that I would fix it but did not add Wright write rite right away. Well she said ok but it was the kind of ok that meant she was not happy that I didn't say right away my lady. Sooo I went to home depot got some stuff and fixed it before I finished my stuff. If momma's happy poppa can be happy and sometimes ya gotta plead the 5th and read in between the lines.
