Anyone making under 20 an hour hasnt seen a cost of living wage increase in almost 10 years or more.... minimum wage has been failing canadians for almost 10 years now.... either housing needs to drop by 50% or minimum wage needs to be dropped for a federal living wage of at least 50,000 per year

My parents’s generation had a much more comfortable life in canada back in the day… They easily bought a house after a few years of working and I don’t even see myself entering the housing market… I don’t make $200k a year. What’s insane is that there is little reason for it! Most things Canadians overpay for is because companies know that Canadians can afford. (At least could afford it before.) Just look at cellphone plans. What does a pepper or tomato cost in Mexico? Yet these simple things cost 5-10x the amount just by crossing a border.

The hospitals are overflowing--wait times are months and months to be seen by anyone for even urgent health problems. Food is cheaper is Germany because the EU heavily subsidizes farming and regulates against monopilies. Rent is cheaper because of government investments in public housing and strict rent controls. Highly doubt a conservative government in Canada would have any policies close to that. Reducing government spending and ignoring climate change wont magically make life affordable for Canadians.

I live 4 months of the year outside of Canada, I keep paying my rent back home so I have a place to come back to when I return and I save more money by living elsewhere than if I stayed in Canada these 4 months.

Have applied for and received citizenship for my parents home country. Don't believe I will be in Canada much longer.

I am one that moved from Canada after I released from the Miltary of 30 years of service back in 2022. Now living in Puerto Vallarta Mexico 🇲🇽 and enjoying retirement. But I do return back to Canada couple times a year for visits.

It's hard to imagine that Canada has been torn down so badly by the "wacko" that places like Bogota, Columbia are becoming appealing to live for some.

As a Canadian myself, I'm not surprised because after I graduate from a chef's school I'm probably going to leave too mainly because I can't afford to buy anything

Moved 2+ years ago and have been better for it. In Canada you pay more for everything while getting less and get 8 months of crap weather on top of it all. Get paid almost double of what I would in Canada and can actually get ahead in life. Things would have to get pretty desperate for me to want to move back to Canada.

My breaking point was denial of internet access by my local telcos that was supported at all levels of government. I'd been through the same thing 10 years prior and lost, and my old community STILL didn't have internet or cell phone service. I knew it'd be the same thing in my current community. But lack of access to meaningful healthcare as well as food and housing being luxury items ensured that there was no path back for me.

With more than 500,000 students. Most can't even feed the selves. With only one semester fees paid, and a ton of money paid in kickbacks, these students enter Canada. Canadian citizens technically paying for this stupid immigration mistake.

You will become homeless in canada.. 🏌️‍♀️.. Rent - groceries- basic bills - car payment - car insurance, you need to make at least 4k a month to stay afloat. Oh yea where is your excitement or fun,?? Zero fun low energy, everyone going mental - Cam H.. its a joke to live in Toronto these days, 🤕🤯🤯.. one last thing FOH 🏌️‍♀️🎉

Other countries have national health care. You go to the hospital with your ID, you register to see a specialist, you see that specialist on the same day, and if you need a procedure you get it within one to three weeks. You get your medicine in pharmacy inside the hospital and away you go - minimal fees, professional service. It's like this in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea... Britain's NHS is also impressive. Where's is Canada's National Health Care system?

Hong Kong has its own wait-time issues but at least you have private option if you don’t want to wait.

I came over from England as a child and have been living here for 50 years. I served 15 years in the Canadian Armed Forces as well. I retired a few years ago and as health care and the cost of living have gotten worse and worse and I’m being taxed to death I can no longer afford to live in Canada which is a shame because I love it here. In the next year I’ll make up my mind whether to move back to England or Scotland or perhaps Italy. I just can’t afford to live here anymore.

Every young person or retiree I know are fleeing. Thanks Justin and Ford. All you do is pay taxes at 3 levels and scrape by. Now saddled with mortgages in retirement have no choice but to leave.

Rent is expensive.....if you are retired, you can not live here with basic pension.

I'm heading to India, they're all in Canada now! Should be nice and quiet.
