Incredible idea. But! I think it’s crazy you didn’t show a pizza cooking and spinning at the end of your video that would’ve been awesome

Graphite for the bearings. Comes in a spray can and is good for 875 deg.

I would use a piece of wire or screw in the spindle rod at the top and grind the rod do not to hit the pizza stone then the rod would fall and stay engages with the swivel plate thus the rod stay with the oven and you could use the rod if the motor went out; thus making it less of chance to turn it manually. However you gave me more ideas how to rotate the stone that might be more durable. Like welding a 1/4 plate to a rod center down inside the oven, on on the bottom a plate from attache to the bottom with a heavier duty bearing because the bearing wouldn't be inside the oven it would day cooler then attach the motor to the shaft of the drive rod coming down out of the oven. I thought of the lazy Susan method but though the bearings because of the high heat would seize up over time and use. By keeping the bearing out side and if you use a shift with the turning plate weld it would be a lot more durable over all. The rotestory motor is a great option as it is slow and battery power. If you could find a motor with battery or electric capability would make it more versatile. But also making it where the motor could be removed and the shifts you would be able to turn by hand the shift and maybe adding a larger diameter handle to attached to the shaft for manual turning. I think you may have stumble up on a way to perfect this pizza oven for less that $50. Making it more compatible with the higher dollar pizza ovens that only have a twelve inch pizza stone. For less than $150 you have a pizza oven with a rotating 15 inch pizza stone; so to that I tip my hat to you sir.

There have been comments that say there is paint on the side of the oven. Under high heat this paint peels and fall one stone and the stone cracks.. I want to purchase this oven but I don't want to waste my money if I am going to be sending it back. should I buy it?

Same thing happened to mine so I switched to a 14.5 pizza steel with a bolt through the bottom floor , added a knob so I could spin it by hand

I didn't use a swivel . It's a concrete anchor bolt through the bottom floor with a knob so I can turn the steel pizza plate

I mean really .. pizza cooks in 2-3 min . Enjoy turning it manually it’s all part of the process . Keep things simple for once . Always trying to over engineer a hundred year old perfected process .
