OMG! I've seen a few videos on these mines and the distinct different features from one source to another. Like some having more chromium flecks and some having a reddish rind. Also how the polar mine produced a huge famous boulder. I won't ruin it. Lol. I'm excited. I love those BC mines. Also up in Cassiar at Jade City. Can't wait.

You can find serpentine on my local beach in southern california. I've picked up a couple of small pieces, but mostly what I find is epidote. Both are varying shades of green when wet, and gray-green when dry. They're not translucent at all. I keep hoping that - because of the presence of serpentine - I might find a jade pebble. I kept looking for the green color, so maybe I should stick with looking for gray with an oyster-like look. :) I used to live in Cambria, and am mad that I didn't know about Jade Cove. I've found moonstones on that beach, but no one told me about the jade. I have no idea if nephrite can be found on southern california rocky beaches. I've found no other information about the local beach rocks here except for there's a lot of red jasper, agates (moonstones), chert, "sea pottery" (including terra cotta), and chalcedony. I'm still an ameture, but learning as I go. :) I started out collecting sea glass, and gradually moved over to rocks. I still look for both, though. :) Do you know if nephrite's ever been found below Santa Barbara?

This is the nephrite jade show I’ve been looking for for so long. Thank you so much for making this. I hope there will be more stemming from this, e.g., fake nephrite jade on Etsy, or something similar.

So glad you enjoyed it! Yes! As I learn more about nephrite and connect with more professionals, I want to produce LOTS of quality, educational content on the stone and it’s sources :)

Have bought quite some pieces from Nikki in Etsy and LOVE the snuff bottles and Siberian jade sphere she sold to me amongst the variety of other jades she has on both her own site + Etsy + the Canadian variant of the Jade Mine shouldn't be looked over either as I bought a polar jade rough from Paul who runs the Jade Mine Canada side alongside 4 very large pieces of Ogden material bracelets! Can't be happier with both of their services and deserve the recognition they get.

They’re really an incredible company! The first time my husband and I saw jade was when we met Jade West at a trade show. We were instantly hooked. So glad you have some pieces from them! Sounds like you have a fabulous collection.
