Hi Silvester I added detol which you can find in every supermarket. I used smoke over the liquid because the laser beam wouldn't be seen while passing through the air.

Why did you burn all the oxygen in the jar? Does that alter the refractive index?

+Bob Stixck I hadn't thought it, however, I suppose I didn't burn all the oxygen because the jar remained open during the process of burning.
