Hi, I went through some comments and answered some of the most popular questions to the best of my ability! *How does the electrolytic capacitor work with ac current?* It should not, but I'm guessing because he is using very little power in the motor, it did not explode. I would not recommend this though. *What are the specifications of this motor? * Synchronous RPM: 3,000RPM Power: 30W Voltage: 12V AC Current: about 2.5A (but my calculations could be off) AC Frequency: 50Hz *How do I make a rotor for an induction motor? * The rotor used in this video is a squirrel cage rotor from another old motor. This is not possible to make at home, however, you can substitute it in a pinch with a cylinder made of steel. The squirrel cage rotor has copper in diagonal segments which directs the current. *Is there a running and starting coil in this motor? * Yes and No. The coil with the capacitor would be a starting coil, but it is running constantly, which could cause problems with the capacitor. *How many meters of the copper wire? * Each coil appears to have about 36.5m of 26 AWG wire. *Why is it so slow? How to increase the speed of the motor? * This motor only uses 30W so the torque produced is not enough to get it to full speed. The friction of air resistance and in the bearings cancels out the torque at around 100RPM, which you see in the video.

Hi, what is the capacitor exactly used for in the setup, do we use it in the induction motor for EV's (ofc it might be a different type of it) and if yes how do we connect it if I want to make a induction motor with 6 different coils like this

I'll explain it in a reduced way, American Tech is a fake channel, it doesn't do real things, even ElectroBoom has already shown that this channel is a lot of lies.

It should be running at a speed of 1800 rpm as per 120f/p formula why is it running slow is it due to capacitor or transformer

Actually, since two of the magnets are on an offset phase from the capacitor and he has 50Hz electricity, it should be running at 1500RPM. The problem is that he's only powering it with about 10W so most of its torque is canceled out by friction once it reaches about 100RPM, which you saw in the video.

@@mantisgaming hello, what is the correct capacitor and the correct voltage to get torque in this circuit? Thanks in advance

@@alessio55555 I'm not an expert, but from my knowledge, to increase the torque, you need to increase the voltage and capacitance. Check the resistance of the coils though because if the resistance is too low, a lot of current might go through them which could melt them. To increase the resistance of the coils, you can use thinner wire and add more wraps.

If you see the results of your work, from the aspect of innovation I am amazed and salute you. But if in terms of electrical engineering, the circuit is not correct. Why? The DC electrolyte Capasitor 2200 uF mount is of no use, because you did not install a diode from the transformer secondary to the circuit that aims as a voltage rectifier.
