I believe everyone has experiences in life that shapes our emotions, values and beliefs that we take on throughout the course of our lives and in this new series, I wanted to take the opportunity to share some experiences and stories that have shaped my life.
In this first video, I wanted to tell the story of what I experienced when I turned 11 years old which had a significant impact on my life. Despite it being very difficult to share this first story, I wanted to use the opportunity to achieve some goals:
1. Be able to keep working through and come to terms of what I experienced at 11 years old. Use it and keep reframing it as a powerful and strong reason that drives me everyday.
2. To be able to speak to my children, my future grandchildren and even future generations long after I have been on earth and gone. The power of the internet, capturing this moment in time being able to share stories with future generations.
3. To encourage you, my friend, that there are many experiences we face throughout life and that you can connect on a deep level with others that have experienced similar to you.
I have come to believe deeply that no matter what happens in life, we are given the responsibility to choose what it means, what we can learn and how we can use it moving forward. For better or for worse, we have a choice to decide is this the end.....or is this the beginning.
I do not pretend to have an experience that is the worst possible in life. I realise there are more difficult and painful experiences that people endure however this is my truth.
