She is great teacher. You can follow that. Just make sure to cut the noise and watch relevant and complex stuff as per a project specifications.

Yes i took her course together with some excercise materials, there are some items there got will get the student to research and really burn in the experience to the brain, i hope learning more with uour community.

I loss may job in dec worked as applications support engineer how can I approach to switch in devops even though i have already learn devops tools..

This is a good video highlighting the process to move to a DevOps role instead of just encouraging people by saying "yes you can, anybody can move to DevOps". As i understand from this video, anybody can move to DevOps role, you just need to figure out which phase of DevOps process you really fit in instead of blindly learning some tools. Thank you for the video. And feel free to correct my understanding if required.

I'm 37 years old. Have Non-IT experience of 13 years and shifted to DevOps in 2021. I have learnt all DevOps tools Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes basic knowledge, Shell basic scripting. Have kept 5years of experience & got through the interview (after rigorous practice) in Capgemini last May 2022. Post recruitment, I could not clear client's round as they have asked advanced K8s topics. Later I was laid off in Oct 2022. Since then i have improved technical skills (i.e. on Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Shell, Python basic scripting, AWS). Nowadays no calls. Some I have attended and was able to clear even 3rounds of interview. But no offer was released. I'm getting low in confidence nowadays as I'm not getting offer letters in spite of good performance. Also, I was informed by my friends that companies do not encourage people aged above 35 & having less experience in IT. Is that true or could be one of the reasons? Can you please clarify my confusion. Your feedback would be helpful to me definitely. Thanks..

I am 38, IT graduate, worked in IT tech support industry for 6 years, then moved to Corporate training industry for 2 years. Now working in IT sales since last 2 years. Fortunely, i got a chance to work in AWS DevOps Support project for 4 months before joining IT sales job. I've got good exposure of various tools used in this field. How would I get another chance in DevOps field?

Apply positions based on your expereince. Add skills based on the Job Description you want to target. Get certified. Do complex projects hands-on

please what do you mean by complex projects that are used in the industry. Whenever, i go online to do projects i see things like "build a static website etc" does that count as a complex project thank you?

Static website is very simple project. you can only make it a littile meanigful if you add your own domain from godaddy or elsewhere but remains simple. I have a 5 mins video on that. it just took that long...

Hi sir, I have 7+ years of experience in support industry and trying to switch to devops profile. Pick one CI tool (Gitlab, Azure DevOps or GitHub actions), Terraform, AWS, and Ansible. Keep Python very basic. No need to go deep. Add lots of monitoring (Infra monitoring, Logs monitoring) because you are coming from support.

May I know why you are trying to change to Devops when Data engineering is already a hot skill and you have more experience in there?

I have past experience around 10years in production support and 4years carrer gap and now i want to resume my job and switch to devops. I am learning devops online but donno how to start my carrer in devops and it will be new for me. Do I need to modify my previous experience a bit to showcase devops work. Please provide or guidance which will be very helpful to start my carrer in devops

Please share your experience. I am also in the same boat but with a 3 year gap now.

I have 12 years of experience in full stack development previously, worked in all phases of SDLC, customer interaction, team management, worked in an agile environment. I also did my CSM certification. I quit software development out of frustration, and no longer have any inclination toward programming or development. After a career gap I'm now focused on cloud (AWS). My goal for the next 3 years is to progress toward cloud architecture, and not just remain a hands-on cloud engineer. How can I plan for the same? Sorry for the confusion, I moved this comment from another video to here, as this video is more relatable. I think you replied to my comment in the other video, which got removed

Yes. Did you delete the old comment? As an architect you need to know almost everything. Please understand the role and you will realise. Depth of knowledge can be less but you need to know how DevOps can help
