As you so beautiful your heart is more then. really of course they must give to visa green book because like when we apply refugee in U. S. A AND European country they give us travel documents like that in India gouvernement gave us like that. Educated people know abt this. Of course when some people don't know abt green book. when we show green book in airport they say what is but that time our some people angry. Never do like this of course some people don't know our situation. That time we also gut chance explain to abt our situation. Like you. we are right side so proud of you

India not being a United Nation Signatory of refugee convention act 1950 , in lue of Travel Document , she issues IC to displace people to facilitated to travel abroad for humanitarian reasons. Your explanation and logical documents proof should eliminate information ignorant about purpose of IC to UK consular sections officers for future Tibetan IC holder visa applicant . Education is the key to enjoy your right. Great job .

as always issues and problems since it was issued, i have lot of stories about this book, some are more funny then others, even some immigration officers like the color and some even don't know, where is the photo and details in booklet, as well as who carries this ID too, at airport i need to explain them throughly and educate them from A-Z, anyway thanks for letting us know how this book works and what should we do when u have this kind of issues, thanks for Dechen la, sharing is caring, we tibetans normal don't share those struggles or issues in public or in media to guide and educate others.

@@manojkalwani1320 The initial release of the yellow book did not feature your photo at the very front of the booklet. Instead, one had to turn a few pages to find your details and photo. However, it is reasonable to assume that since then, the booklet has undergone significant improvements. Presently, it appears that the booklet has been enhanced in various aspects and now presents a much-improved look and feel.

Please see the link here with references of European countries that accept IC and those don't. imgur.com/a/W1i8MAS As of October 2021 - These countries currently do not recognize IC as travel document: Greece, Italy, Portugal, Hungary, Malta But these countries still accept IC as valid document for VISAs with right supporting documents. Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Spain, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Austria, Poland, Slovakia, Iceland, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Swiss + Liechtenstein

But Europe does not support it because it is not in the law and constitution of India. It's a kind of collaboration between Indian politicians and the exile administration which is not legal actually as the Indian supreme court said in the past.

You cannot use IC on a flight to Nepal, I know most people will cross Nepal via land border using Indian ID documents.

I believe it’s easier to get IC these days. My friend said it will take between 1-2 months. If it’s urgent, you should provide the documents related to the Delhi Bureau office.

I recommend contacting Bureau office Delhi and get the documents that state no NORI or google the Indian Govt website which clearly states no NORI is needed. There is no way your visa is rejected because I know some students who applied for student visa and they don't have NORI on their IC. So try once again@@tendol1156

Yes. If you are coming through Nepal, you will have to register at Tibetan govt’s “office of reception” centre at Nepal. They will give you document to cross over to India. Once you reach india, you again register at reception centre at Delhi. You can then come to Dharamsala. From there, Tibetan govt handles your case to get you Indian ID card(foreigner registration certificate). This certificate helps you get other document at banks and other places. But you will not get IC Identity certificate (for international travel) immediately, as this process takes more than a year. Depending on your situation, tibetan govt you may also help you apply for asylum to western country like Australia.
