In elementary school our class took the trip. It was so overcast but I enjoyed it. That was 1962. It's beautiful there.

I really enjoyed this walk down memory lane. I was born and raised in Chickamauga. I still live here. Im 72. When company came to visit from out of town, my grandparents would entertain them with a visit there, then we'd go to Bea's Restaurant on Dodds Avenue. Its a famous restaurant thats been around as long as me! They have round tables that seat about 8, i think. It has a lazy susan and they keep filling it up with their famous chicken, BBQ, various vegetables, and desserts. Thats a trip in itself. Thanks for the video. We were there several years ago, we also went to Ruby Falls, and Rock City. We stayed at the Chanticleer Inn Bed and Breakfast at Lookout Mountain.

I've ridden that I enjoyed it

What a cool trip on the incline. I have been to Chattanooga many times but never got to ride the incline. Thank you for sharing it.

Had never heard of the Incline, so will be adding this to a future vacation. Simply breathtaking.

My husband works near St. Elmo where the Incline Railway is located. Mr. T's, Purple Daisy & 1885 are all great places to eat.

I sure didn't know a community existed on top of Look Out Mountain.

I lived in Chattanooga from 1970 to 1986. Road the Incline many times. At the top of Point Park is a trail that will take you down to Craven’s house. I was a lot younger when I walked that trail up and down the mountain. Loved the video, hope to see more like it.

Did you get to see Rock City and Ruby Falls while you were there? We lived in Chattanooga from 1977 to 1984. We were in to boating back then and really enjoyed Lake Chickamauga on the north side of town. Thanks for bringing back all of those memories.

@@FridaysForever Cool!!! I have eaten there a few times and loved it. Love their ham and biscuits. All their food is good though. The last time I ate there I didn't think I was going to make it back to BSG after eating so much LOL

What fun! That park is the icing on the cake after that Incline ride. So beautiful up there & so much history. Were you getting residual smoke from the Canadian wildfires down there? It looked a lil hazy in the distance. TY for sharing your adventures!

Early in our marriage my wife and I went to Chattanooga. I wanted to ride the incline railway but she was chicken.😀 So we drove to the top. It's beautiful up there. I'd like to go back, but having had a stroke and bouts of vertigo I don't think the railway would be an option now.
