Seb the reason it doesn't have the punch of your Lotus, is because it's NA. Most of the torque is higher up in the rev range. Your Lotus is supercharged, thus you get an instant (almost violent) surge of power the moment you touch the gas pedal. Try the Z06, you'll see it will have the same affect of pushing you back in your seat.

Ok I'm pausing this already at 2:37. The bonnet vents don't let air into the engine Seb, they draw out hot air from the engine bay which also adds to down force. And I believe all C7s have the removable roof not just the convertible model... And I realize your just doing what you love and talking about cars n stuff but a bit of basic research 1st will help no end to the plausibility of your reviews. In saying that I think that with Ao on camera duties, the shots, angles and editing have increased hugely in the last few months. Keep going man because I'd be doing the same thing as you if I had the chance (or could be bothered). Cheers mate.

Where did you get all the blue accent pieces?? Especially the Corvette and grand sport logos!

You need to go into the DIC (on right 4-way switch on steering wheel, press left) and choose Options. Then up/down to find setting for display, press to the right and set DIC to follow driving mode. Then you'll get completely different displays based on mode.

Still here after buying my Vette GS Col. Edt. Absolutely love this car. Now I'm jumping on next video and looking for another, it has to be a Porsche.

It's not badly built but it does share its switch gear with the Astra and Insignia! But on the whole, yeah it is a nice car. I love the noise.

I have this same car. i love it. I couldn't possibly care if anyone like Ferrari or Lamborghini better. I have a car that I paid half of a used Lamborghini but not half of the performance. Maybe one day I will upgrade to a Lamborghini Huracan or a McLaren 720S but for now I am very happy.

The 6.2 litre V8 is lighter than the V6 in your Lotus , GM engines are single in block cam design . The engine in a Miata is just as heavy as an LS1 V8 .And that's because of dual overhead cams and complicated valve trane on all the little shit engines .

Well done, Seb, and not boring at all. Filled with information and that's what lots of us are looking for, I think it's safe to say. No question I have a better sense of the car now. I will admit I love the sound of that American big ole honkin' V8 and no matter how you cut it, not many of us out here can slam our way to 60 in 3.6 secs (3.9 in the base coupe), depending on which stat report you read. Plan on going and test driving one here (in the U.S., not the Grand Sport but rather the 'base' coupe to add some this-side-of-the-pond experience to the one you offered). Note: Archie's spec looks mighty fine; may diminish the 'limited edition' value as someone suggested but at these prices, why not do what you want with the car? 65K is not chump change, but it's not like slamming down the money one would for a 720S or Ford GT or a Porsche Turbo S. C'mon!

I do not think the Lotus would pull away from the corvette at any speed. They have nearly identical 0-60 times and he has more torque. You might feel more of a jerk when you mat the throttle but you're driving a stripped out hardcore lightweight lotus that doesn't necessarily mean you're going faster.

WHITE SUNNY SAND It will make less of a difference the faster you are going, as drag and ultimate power become more important. The lotus is lighter, and probably has shorter gearing to compensate a bit. But the is no way sebs little lotus will keep up with that beast.

Victor Parker 1986 Corvettes had ABS as standard. AH, and Corvette was one of the esrliest production cars to have a 6 speed manual. 1989 for the 6M

Great Vid Seb. What Archie doesn't understand is that; This is a limited edition model. If you go messing with it by modifying the engine with an after market charge or turbo., the value will drop so much when it's time to get rid of it, it won't be worth anything. My advice to Archie is to just a software tune and be done with it. If you want more power, you should have bought the Z07.

Pretty much everything he has done and will likely do can be returned to stock. Things like exhaust, tune, wraps, etc can all be changed back easy enough.

You can pretty return any car back to stock no matter what you did and these cars aren't that special. They offer this gray anyway and they stripes they offer for any grand sport as well. The only thing that makes it "special" is that it has the blue interior and the stripes are blue. Literally nothing else. And I can almost guarantee that these things won't be worth much more then a regular GS.

Some constructive criticism, quite long but I hope you understand my points: - As an early subscriber I am horrified and completely hate the new logo and header on the channel homepage, it's so unauthentic, bland and sterile, it has no character and does not represent you or the channel, it can't - it has no depth or personality. - Your old logo and the blue theme was just brilliant, you can tell it came from an inspired place, why would you ever want to change something so visually defining to the channel. Anyone with expereince in high-end branding can tell you that changing logos and artwork (which unfortunately is done far more than it should be) is never a good idea, there has to be some cardinal overriding reason for it otherwise it's best left alone - that on its own is good reason to keep your graphics/intros/ defining elements of the experience on the channel, if anything the artistic merit of the original choices/design are far more authentic and full of personality. - If you find you want a higher-res set of graphics you can just remake your old stuff and augument them with in-keeping well considered additions but not changing your colour scheme or logo, that's sacrilege. - Oh, and on a separate note, these "experience/review"-type videos are really not that interesting, I guess review-type videos are just not your forte, I'd stay away from them unless you find a unique, more exciting format (and some more exciting cars) otherwise these "review" videos just look like polyester filling material on the channel, basically - cheap tat. People much prefer vlog / reality tv style videos that put the viewer somewhat into the life of the person you're watching and their experiences, just look at salomondrin. All that being said, I still like your channel just please revert to the old graphics / logo / intro / "mooorning" greeting, basically, keep all the defining-long terms elements of the channel, those aren't what needs improving or changing, put all your effort into conceiving original content. P.S - More than ever, please ignore the negative morons' in the comments, they seem to be multiplying like cockroaches.
