I was writing songs using american place names and saw Paris on the map. so thought i'd look into it. It reminds me of my town here in England. We are about 15,000 people. We are called Royston and our main attraction is a rock sitting in the middle of the town. your town looks so clean and American. i love it!

My daddy was born in Paris Tennessee his land is what you all know now as The Preserve for wildlife and probably some of your parks they said they were going to open the dam and it was going to flood the place and they took his his land for a little of nothing he had 190 I believe Acres and after they took his land he ended up coming up north to Michigan and there's where I was born I love to go down there and visit my family's my daddy's family was down there we went to Granny's branch right there by the river and that's where I spent my Summers it sure has Bill been built up from there to go to my aunt's house and sleep on a Baptist pallet for those of you all that don't know what one is it's a blanket on the floor with a pillow sometimes without a pillow but you always had a blanket to cover up with too but it holds some of my Fondest Memories so God bless all y'all in Paris.

Hey Spirit Detailer, There are more black people percentage-wise in Paris, TN (about 24%) than there are in Los Angeles (less than 9%). Keep in mind, (I know it will be hard for you), I am talking percentages based on land size of the cities, which is about 13 square miles compared to 502 square miles of city.

Let me just say that I'm black and when i came to visit when my brother and sister n law (whom is white) lived there 10 years ago i loved it. Friendly people had no issues with anyone because of the warm welcome they gave. Fuck all this racist shit because the time i was down there i didn't experience it. I even was holding a good conversation with a guy with a confederate flag on his truck. My point is not all black people are lazy, criminals, etc just like all white people are racists, etc. Just get to know a person before you judge because i did. And night i add the barbecue among other things were very good too. Along with the WOMEN!!!
