I been here going on 11 years and I love what I do as a Driver/ Trainer.

You don't get paid for everything. Pre trip/post trip, scanning documents, fueling the truck, weighing loads that have to be weighed, rail ingate/outgate delays and chassis flips unless it exceeds the allotted rail yard time for picking up a load, road delays like accidents or extremely heavy traffic, or searching for empty trailers (you do get mileage looking for empties, but that's all). On the other hand, the driver managers are very courteous and respectful (Haslet, Texas)

I quit Schneider because they treated me like garbage. I’m glad I left Schneider and went to J.B. hunt

My only complaint is that that jbhunt need to update the way they do things. It's no reason why I should have to do all this messaging with dispatch. I'm here to drive not spend an hour messaging everything on the bol that's only going to get uploaded. Ingates should be send by your dispatch when you upload the bol the first time but it isn't so you spend another hour messaging dispatch. It's been plenty of times I tried to make an out gate and things are missing on the bol like pick up number and dispatch has to look it up for me. Seems like the drivers are doing dispatchs job while they just sit back all day

Yeah I started a month ago on dedicated account not rail..the info they want put in the tablet is so redundant..i think it's basically doing the dispatchers work!

Don’t do it! The rail yard is a headache that never goes away. They don’t pay enough to deal with it!

I was owner operator, and my check between 1600 to 1800, and as owner operator this is nothing.

@@718y Yeah, I dont really know how that side of the house works. That seems low for owning the equipment. Is that power only?

Does JB Hunt hire directly out of truck driving school without any experience?
