I brought my son to their old location after Toys R Us shut down, he was only 4 years old. I will never forget that day. He went dressed in a Pikachu hoodie, complete with tail and antennae. As we were browsing, a little girl who was the daughter of one of the shopkeepers, ran up and grabbed him. After grabbing him she yelled, “You’re my Pokémon and I caught you”! Then she walks him back to her parent’s shop and tells her mother “Mommy I caught a Pikachu, he’s coming home with us”! It was the cutest thing ever. Her mother had to explain to her that he was my Pikachu, and she couldn’t take him home. The little girl even said she would battle me to keep him! My son is now 12, and he still remembers that day! ☺️
