As soon as the first "Where's Ron" started, an orange juice ad popped up, and there was a red and white straw in the glass. Not registering it being an ad, I thought, "Now this is gonna be interesting." But then I realized it was an ad. Bummer. But where's Ron? He's right there (then wait for the close-up).

The initial pair of Louboutins is really bizarre, must be a challange to restore them and not damage the upper studs. But Dan has solutions for everything. Man, I appreciate the work you put into your business and these videos. Just so it doesn’t get old for you, one where's ron segment a video is totally fine, but it is a lot of fun. I usually like to pause for these kinda things, but part of the challenge is seeing if I can get it before the reveal. Keep it up! I got the first one, that second one was a doozey, but the third i got right away, ironically.

Hi Dan, just found your channel. Really enjoying your videos as they bring back fond memories of my first job. Back in the early 80’s I left school with next to no qualifications and ended up on a government training scheme called the YTS (youth training scheme) the pay was rubbish but I loved the job. I worked in a shop called Coombes which was part of a multiple owned by Allied Shoe Repairs who were later taken over by Mister Minit who were eventually bought by Timpsons. The guy that trained me was called Blake and he was a real craftsmen and I was lucky enough to learn loads from him. It was proper old fashioned back then shop closed for lunch for an hour and half day on Wednesday market days. I eventually got taken on full time and stayed in the shoe repair trade until my mid 30’s. I became a bit disillusioned with the job due to the lack of variety of work I ended up in a heel bar, so mostly stiletto heels and stick on soles. Moved on to other things and out of shoe repairing for over 20 years. That said I look back at my time in the trade fondly and it’s nice to see someone like you carve out a niche business because of your attention to detail and great skills. Well done you

I picked C so the experience was damn near interactive for me! I think you technically can do interactive videos by having the clickable video recommendations pop up linking to different videos but it seems like a lot of hassle! The best example I can recall right now is Markiplier in Space

I have a shoemaker near me at the mall!! A mean and nasty one!! I took a pair of new Marc Jacob's boots for stretching and he said if I left them, I would have to pay in full that minute, instead of a deposit and couldn't tell me when they would be done!! No one likes a nasty cobbler!

Watched every single video you have uploaded. Amazing work! Have an issue. What does one do when a patent leather shoe has gotten deep creases? I straightened the creases, but the damage in the leather is still visible with the micro damages that run a bit deep into the leather. Can you either reply to me or fix a pair where you actually repair this kind of creases?

The reflection in the window makes it look like your automated cobbler is driving a Merc, so I'd say he's doing pretty well, even though he doesn't have a convertible like Ron.

I think personally I would have also put the mirror soles on with a curve, like they had been on the second pair of shoes, I think it would blend in nicer rather than a straight line, however those mirrors look much better than the logo sole.

I'm pretty sure you can make the videos interactive, if i remember correctly, an anotation with a link to a part of the video would work, you click the shoe you want repaired, and the anotation takes you there

Why do you clean and polish the uppers before you repair the sole, especially when you're going to create dust on the sander?

That Louboutin logo isn't embroidered, it's stamped on. Embroidery is when you stitch fabric or leather with thread with multiple lines to form a design.

Did they change the color of the replacement soles? These seem to match better then some of your earlier videos. Would have liked so seem the restoration of the tan ones.

Always enjoy the videos, sometimes very informative about the process that goes into the repairs. There wouldn't be a way to see or hear (due to consent from the customer) their reaction/s to picking up the finished product would there?

im curious as to what you do with leather uppers can you effectively recreate it or is there a method to repair them?

You are the ultimate cobbler mate, I used to live in Cheddington many years ago and I don't think your predecessors were in Tring then, if you have any? I love good quality shoes and have some pairs that I've had for thirty plus years. I live in Somerset now but am putting any that need repairs aside to make a visit to Tring. Great, original videos mate, and I sincerely hope the toerags who robbed you get their karma.

Maybe it would be interesting if you named the models of the shoes you repair, in others videos with Timberland type boots there is no problem, but in this video the second pair of shoes you repair in this video seems beautiful to me, where do I buy it?,

Hey, just came across your channel by sheer dumb luck a few days ago. Oddly enjoyable to watch & not something I have watched before. Quick question for you: do you hit your fingers with the hammer or stick yourself with nails very often in the course of working on customers' shoes? My father was an upholsterer by trade and has done it all - even put a staple through a knuckle with a staple gun once many years ago!
