Expectations for free dog training help

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

For some reason some people feel all the free content I’ve provided over the years is not enough. They call and want free advice instead of paying for the time like others do. Do they work for free? I doubt it

This guy has provided more free information through his videos than anyone could possibly ask for...for FREE. He earns his living by training dogs; he's a professional dog trainer - who just happens to have done everyone a huge favor by sharing his expertise out of the goodness of his heart. I, for one, can only say "Thank you, Larry"!

Just as bad - a few years ago I remember someone online asking my dog's breeder to just give them a free pup. People just don't realize how disrespectful they are when they want, or worse yet expect, you to give them whatever for free. What alot of us on the client / normie side of things don't seem to get is that whatever you and others publish for free on KZread, that's GOLD & we should appreciate that, but anything any of us need or want directly from you, well that's For Pay content. Time is $$$ and you have bills to pay.

Lord, I’d keep you on retainer if I could afford it. I’ve actually been a client for a brief time but rather than ask you to address the warts (😆), I absorb everything you do on social media. Lives, videos, etc. I’ve found my answer every time that way. Usually, something I’ve already learned from you but managed to forget. Thank you Larry! If they will invest 30 minutes searching UTube, their question will be answered!

I have the same thing happen in my horse training business. Everyone wants the quick fix and free advice. If I had been paid for how much free advice I have given over the years I would probably be able to afford fuel and groceries.

What I hear is that you have boundaries. I am trying to get there ...in the meantime I give advice for free. I want to help my community. Watching your channel gives me knowledge I need to share with others❤

They don't understand boundaries, which is necessary in dog training. They probably wouldn't use the advice probably.

Well you did give them some advice. You told them to go to your website and sign up. They just didn’t like your advice 😂.

Here's some free advice: watch Larry's videos. There's a whole lot of "a thousand words" in a video.

This one really made me laugh. "I don't value your time, and I need it for free." I tell my staff that we're not for everyone, and that there are plenty of people out there that are happy if you work for free on their behalf. They'll never complain until you start charging them, and then the roof will come down because they think you owe them. J Thanks for all the videos!

There's so much free info online that I think, most people probably hire trainers for 2 reasons. 1. They don't have time to do proper training. 2. They've tried to solve the an issue that they themselves can't fix.

As someone who works in a doctors office, you bet your ass people definitely call and ask to just speak to the doctor for a minute for free advice so they don't have to pay to see him.

are you able to help ppl with genetically people-avoidant fearful dogs (in my case a byb gsd whos been this way since 9wks) achieve neutrality? i'd love to pay for a session but i'd also like to know if thats something you even think is possible before spending $200 for your time. all i ever get is mixed opinions, would love to speak with someone whos been in the game for a long time.

Big mistake not giving him the 10 minutes. He might have shouted him out on his Instagram. You need the exposure.

Looked at every Dog Trainer on KZread and it's 99% garbage. The 1% is Larry and Robert Cabral(in that order). On a seperate note I was watching one of Larry's video's and an advert came up for a vegan kibble called Omni. The advert had two seperate owners and their toy breed dog's go to a free opening of a bistro that serves humans and their dog's. At the end of the meal that is sushi and a burger for the humans and kibble for the dog's, the host comes out and surprises the human's and reveals that everything they have eaten is vegan. The advert is finished off with one of the owners saying how great it will be with him and his dog helping to save the planet by going vegan. I have a sixteen month old Boerboel that eat's 1kg of raw chicken thighs and a 1.5kg of beef/tripe a day. He has muscle on his muscle, a stunning shiny coat and is lean and agile. It's a crazy world where an animal that is a carnivore is forced to eat a vegan diet and the only plus side is your dog would be pooping out fertilizer.
