After visiting Thailand for 12 days and eating out every day super cheap, I was shocked by the food prices in Costa Rica. It's the same price as USA. The cheapest meal you can get at local sodas (local small restaurants) will cost you around $8 without a beverage: rice, beans, tiny salad and choice of meat. Australians are lucky to be able to visit Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines.

as a costarican I can tell a casado with a drink is normally $4 or $5 but in some places mostly the touristic ones is from $7 to $1000 😁with a drink. Yes food here is expensive if you eat out every day. Love from Costa Rica 🇨🇷
