Love it. I just expanded my run. I have a Ron that was 12X4 withe the coop elevated 2 ft. This coop sat next to my 6 ft. High privacy fence. By closing one side I now have additional space of 15X8. I installed a automatic chicken door from the new run into the old run to give my girls access. There is also a automatic door into there coop. In addition I built a automatic watering station. In the coop I installed a exhaust fan, 3 small usb fans in each nest box. On the top of the new run I hung bird netting to keep hawks out. My new girls are only 4 and 5 weeks old so at present they are confined to the chicken house for at least one week. I hope this gives some of your viewers some ideas. I am 80 years young and just started to build 5 years ago. I have built 4 coops with runs so far. I did all the building on my goops with the knowledge that my husband gave me on using each tool. This expansion was done with his help. This expansion was a dream come true. I love you expanded coop.

What a great job. Lots more space for the girls and it looks very pretty as well as functional. We are in the ,idle of building a bigger run - 12 feet by 15 feet. It is quite an undertaking. Can’t wait till it is finished. I’m def looking for things to add to increase vertical space and be boredom busters. We let the girls free range any time we are out in the garden but it will only be a few weeks until we have to keep them in the run due to bird flu. Last year they were in from 27 Nov till 8 May ☹️

We are giving our chickens more space by building a chicken tractor out of one inch PVC. It is 10x10 and 3 feet tall. We have 2 and 3/4 acres and we will move it to fresh grass every day. I have 10 ISA brown chickens and they are 16 weeks old on Oct. 24th. I needed to do this because they want to get on the grass and out of the coop…(easy to tell) LOL. But I need them to be protected. This will also make it easier to throughly clean the coop. Our coop was built by our friend and is very solid and is 6.5 feet by 13 feet.

I have a nice custom run attached to my coop and then a fenced yard for the chickens for added space. I want to expand the run so there is more security. The yard is nice but when o have chicks they escape often and it creates lots of drama and stress. Also I have had a hawk figure out how to find the smaller gaps in my hawk netting over the chciken yard. Something with a soiled roof would be great. The current run is great but get crowded quickly with a big feeder and the ramp for coop is very long too.

Kelli 😂😂😂 the chicken at the end 😜 Love this idea. Expanding on something is a challenge but it looks amazing! Great work. My husband and I (mostly me😆) recently built a transition coop for our babies to be moved outside and it turned out pretty good. Y'all give me the confidence to build whatever I want. ❤️❤️ 6 more days until your birthday 🎉🎂 I hope you are surrounded by loved ones.
