Thank you so much for this deck profile! I was literally looking into Exosister for the past few days and had trouble with the ratios, but this was a real eye opener, mostly thanks to the explanation of the ratios!

No Night Beam this time, strange 😅😅😅 Jokes aside this is a solid deck, and always love seeing any kind of Rogue deck take to the tables. Exosister is definitely one of those under the radar options where if you aren't careful, this deck can just blowout wins out of nowhere. Bravo Doug 👏 👏 👏

thanks for posting this, even if it doesn't get a lot of traction as content its cool to see creators talk about what they're actually doing. I think a lot of people still think of Doug as the Altergeist dude when it comes to TCG but that probably hasn't been the case in quite some time.

I've been waiting for this decklist for over a year since you said you'd post it. It's heeere.

Was great to catch up you at YCS Richmond. I also played Exo, went X-3 day 1. I ended up running a set of Crossout Designator with a Nibiru. Despite all of the great 'going 2nd' cards, nothing beats the feeling of a T1 Magnifica imo.

You couldn't have timed it better! Just played Exorsister at locals yesterday and knew I needed to make adjustments!!

Love DZeeff deck profiles. Also if this was muted and I was just looking at the cards I would think this was a Pak list with those starlight shifters

So I've been playing the deck on MD with the Dinomorphia package and the cyberdark claw package; I realize that this is a completely different format, but I'm not familiar enough with it, so I was wondering what thoughts you have on those support engines, and what decisions you made that brought you to only using the spirit extenders

I had a rarity collection tournament last weekend and won with exosister dinomorphia cyber dark . Went undefeated. Was a wild ride to say the least . Loving this deck it reminds me of evilswarm. In the reapect that it can spit out rank 4s easy Peasey That's a deck I played for years. Nice profile love this deck prolly head to regionals with it

Dzeeff's deck choices are like a monkey's paw version of some of my favourite decks (from my perspective whenever I click on a deck profile). I love Guru control? He loves Subterror but changes it out for Altergeist. I love Exosister with a small spirit engine or a Magistus engine. He plays what feels like an Exosister engine in an excuse to play Spirit monsters.

I didn't even know you were at Indy, I think one of my friends mentioned it late in the tournament but I forgot. I was also playing Exosister! Been on it for a while now, almost day 2ed Indy but got some bad matchups and lost in time round 7 to PK Horus lol

What do y'all think about Carpedivem in the main deck? I was down on it until recently (in Master Duel), it's been super useful in protecting against Nibiru and checking Thrust search targets

I would LOVE to see more paper content vids from you if you wanted to make them

Cool deck profile! I've been considering building this and i'll use this as a framework! Not sure how this would do in the Unchained matchup though. Lots of those at my locals

Unchained is a great matchup! You can summon the Dweller Exo under Magnifica so that you immediately have access to it, and/or the four banishes get the job done

I’ve been playing with bystials and making chaos angel. Pretty decent synergy and can completely throw off the other player if they actually do know what exosister does.

I do like this deck list. I for my part opt to play nibiru as well even if i know it sucks in exos because I would lose every die role anyways and like that my opponent has cards in grave so I can use mikaelis to get pax and special martha from deck and use mikaelis to do full combo with nib on board. I also play crossout cause i fear nib and droll.

I feel like maining droplet in this deck would come in super clutch, I really like the implications it has with exciton knight dodging targeted negation and hitting something like a Baronne trying to stop you. Also it can send away extra spirits if you are clogging on them

What are your thoughts on the Cyberdark engine?

I know this is really late. But what are you thought on adding the dogmatika package?

I had a tag (on edo) with my friends yesterday where both Mika and Magnifica banished almost any possible threat I encountered, of course cards like herald of the abyss and ice dragon's prison helped, but still. Waifu sisters can give a fight almost all the times to whatever they have in front if you have the right cards to help them. Ps: Mika best sexosister

If you take out the Thrust and S:P what would you put in the deck instead? Extra talents main deck, extra herald or more exosister traps? And for extra deck just more genericly decent stuff?

For ED: Azalea or Donner is a good budget version of S:P (obviously way stronger but still good removal).

I'm gonna try exosisters with the vaalmonicas should be interesting.

Just for clarification Martha’s hand effect is a Branded Fusion lock not a rest of the turn lock. So you can not activate Martha’s hand effect if you have special summoned any non Exosister monsters that turn. The deck would be so much better if Martha didn’t lock you the way it does lol Konami can’t have rogue decks being too powerful now

As someone who doesn't actively play YGO - How do I go about learning a deck like this? Like all the basic lines and stuff?

When you say "actively" does that mean you have played the game, understand its mechanics, but just haven't played in a while? Or that you flat out have never played or have had very little TCG experience before?

Generally speaking I'd say start just netdecking a list like this, as you read the cards and look at your hands you'll get a feel for how the deck plays. If you watch someone play it you'll get an idea of the plays you might not be seeing. Once you get a couple of games in on EDOPro/Omega you will get a better idea of what the individual cards do, and what the through-line of the archetype is. There is a LOT of text on yugioh cards, but within an archetype, usually the different names will function very similarly and so a lot of the text is duplicated -- for example, look at Conquistador of the Golden Land, Huaquero of the Golden Land, and Guardian of the Golden Land -- They all function the same way, but do slightly different things. Getting a feel for those patterns is how you can first warm up to a deck.

I played the game a ton over the years, I understand links etc perfectly! I learned traptrix lines for the structure deck and just never got to play much, sorry for phrasing myself poorly haha@@YGOrochi

The basic combo is: Any two Level 4s -> Exosister Kaspitell Kaspitell searches Martha Martha summons itself and Elis Overlay those two for Exosister Mikilias Search Vadis/Returnia Make Magnifica It varies depending on your opening hand but this line is the most common!

@Dzeeff I don't understand. How do you CL1 Shifter, CL2 Droll? If the chain resolves backward, wouldn't Droll be in the GY, therefore shutting off Shifter?

Shifter needs no cards in GY at activation, not resolution. Hope this helped explain it more!

It negates both activated effects AND effects on the field

Man i love exosister; i have the deck max rarity. Not a fan of nikitama because you can't play the game if you get ashed on niki. I ended up going with the cyberdark package for the extra normal so i dont have to commit my normal.

What can we play instead of Thrust?

Hi doug,i played a lot of exosister back in the day, i tried them again with the spirit package, and struggled still to otk going second, even on an empty board. getting to magnifica is decently easy to do, but getting an extra 2 monsters for gibrine is almost impossible the same turn, how do you do it? thanks

Use Pax to special summon an additional Martha.

You make Gibrine and Milkias (but save banish). Add Pax, use it to SS Martha. Mikilias effect banish a card in GY, trigger Martha to make a 3rd Xyz

Still malding over the fact that Martha pulls Elis out of the deck instead of the other normal summons. The deck would have so much more gas if Martha pulled Sophia out of the deck instead for a free body and draw

Have you seen an Exosister deck using a Cyberdark engine? If you have, what are your thoughts on the engine in Exosisters? Personally I have been using the Cyberdark engine and it offers a lot of nice utility alongside the spirit engine. Though the biggest problem is Droll, since the engine adds up to 2 cards to hand.

How come nobody uses Nerovalley anymore?

Too slow when monsters can pop, banish and more not to mention harpies feather duster is in every deck.

I was watching that feature and as soon as that happened I knew you drew double ellis. Drawing multiple ellis is just so bad in exosister, it sucks super bad every time it happens.

It isn’t really. You need your opponent to interact with the GY for most of your monsters to do anything.
