This was absolutely fascinating, Dr Phillips. I agree, possession is rare, but does happen. There can be a fine line between mental illness and demonic possession. Many times, it can be difficult to tell the difference. Not to mention, certain drug addictions can also play a factor as well. But those are more easily distinguished as a cause for making someone vulnerable to demonic attack.

This is not true as there is no evidence for this in Islam

just trying to share some experiences. There are also some possession cases. When the exorcise man recites some verse of Qur'an, the victim continue the verse fluently and then mocking the exorcise. well, the exorcise keep his composure until it finishes and the victim cries and beg him to stop the recitation. But there are also case similar with that. When the victim continue the verse of Qur'an being recited by the exorcise man, but in a respectful manner. As the process undergoes, the victim claim that he is a muslim jin, he hates the victim for what whatever he did accidentally, and the Jin being lecture by the exorcise man, and the leave. This two kinds of things happens in several occasion. Seems like in Jin world, they have similar community like us. There are muslim, there are christian, there are even agnostic (who claim they didn't care what so ever about god existence). and even among those muslim jin, there good muslim and there are also bad muslim. There are temperamental, and there are soft and considerate. Just like one mention up there. The Jin claims as muslim. The verse of Qur'an don't give him the same effec like any other exorcism. It even follow the recitation fluently. And there's even those syaithon, the jin knows the verse, mocking how it went, but eventually hates to hear it in the end. All of these experience happens to a victim which are clarified later that they actually don't memorize such verse (incapabale to recites those verse). Well, in field, the most victim of possession are those who is not devout muslim, doesn't recite Qur'an that often. But when possessed and in exorcised process, he manages to follow the verse fluently.

If there is such a thing as intersection between jinn and man, satan would have possessed Adam & Eve and forced/influenced them to eat from the forbidden fruit, however the only thing he was able to do is to deceive them through وسواس by whispering to them, that your Lord forbade you from this tree only lest ye should become angels or become of the immortals. If there is such a thing as intersection between jinn and man, pharaoh would have commanded his magicians to have Moses possessed or harm him through jinn; he didn’t because there is No such thing, ALL BULLSHIT.

A very large population of muslims do not believe in possesion with good reason. If Allah promised mankind free will, how can a jinn take that from us? if the Quran is a book for al alamin, all of creation, then how does reading it to a possesed person make the jinn leave them, its not like the Quranic verses are harmful to them? Is possessing a human considered a sin for jinn? If so where is this written? If jinn could possess anyone why dont they possess trump and make life for all muslims hell? If a jinns duty is to bring a muslim towards shirk, if he possesses a muslim and makes him perform shirk, is it really the person doing the shirk or the jinn? Thus defeating the purpose of making a muslim sin As someone who is a firm believer in islam and a practicing muslim i do not believe in possession. I do believe it is possible for jinns to influence our lives to a degree, but not control it. Lastly, as someone who has worked in a very big psychiatric hospital....i can assure you. For those with less knowledge, in many cases, a severely psychotic person can easily be considered as 'possessed' the things they hear, see, say and do, are scary and unexplainable. Until u treat them and they become functioning citizens.....you cant call them possessed after that....unless jinn really hate the taste of antipsychotics

@@kuatoroespada clearly you have not listened properly in dr bilal Philips lectures who has and let me remind you a PHD on possession . He said %80 of possession by djinn are actually psychiatric cases and hence false . But that doesn't mean all are mentally ill some are actually having problems with Djinn. So don't make generalisations and claim you are a full Muslim when you are making an active choice to disbelief in part of the quran word of God that talks about them

Way to heaven All are sinners in this world All got hell And there is a way to escape from hell For example, a man committed a murder or stole something or did some sin then he got hell, and if he don't want hell, there is a way, if he want to escape from hell he have to sacrifice animals to God, he have to do sin offerings For example, if a man killed then he got hell and if he sacrifices 5 bulls to God he don't go to hell or for steeling have to sacrifice 1 bull to God to save himself from hell. I am not accurate about this sin offerings but if you want to know read Moses laws. So this is one way to enter heaven tho one is sinner. By doing sin offerings to God by sacrificing animals. But there is a problem in this way also because those who are doing animal sacrifice and sin offerings are not doing accurate animal sacrifices and going to hell. Now again all got hell God loves human so he gave another way for a sinner to escape from hell God sent Jesus Christ to die like a sacrifice animal. And Jesus Christ did, he sacrificed himself For example if a mudder or a thief or a sinner want to escape from hell and want to get heaven then he have to accept that Jesus Christ died for his sins. It's just like he did correct sin offerings to God, so now he can escape from hell. Devil take even good people to hell which is a worst dangerous ugly place. i. e why, God take even sinners to Heaven which is best safe beautiful place. So all are sinners so Jesus is the only way to heaven. Death is not the end of life Jesus Christ the saviour save humans from Devil and Hell Now this is the only way to Heaven Thank God and Jesus Christ Mohammad (sir allaho allahi was haram) , Quran It have good and bad , it have true and lie.. it is negetive and positive. Do it's a negetive book. Positive + negative = negetive.. Quran is a dead book and evil book.. seek the truth more than being reglious.. @aabphilips, A'salaam'Walaikum Brother, I am a revert to Islam, and have been for many years, I've been through possession and my husband prayed for 8 mths to help me to banish this entity, but he accidentally let something else back in after 3 years of no bad things occurring, 3 yrs of peace, but something at 3:15 A.M. knocked the door VERY VERY Loudly, we looked through the spyhole and we saw nothing but we took turns looking and the door repeatedly hit us in the chest while we looked through the glass spyhole in the door, when it stopped, I said I'm using the bathroom DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR, but as soon as I went to the bathroom, he opened the door, Things started being thrown around, moving all by themselves, suitcase unzipped and clothes came flying out, I was pinned against the wall by my throat, the bed shook, I was choked in my chair, and kitchen equipment was thrown about, I have a few videos of this entity from a long while ago, but I find myself ill constantly and tired ALL THE TIME. My husband is Pakistani and Muslim, and knows less about Islam than myself even though I'm still learning Arabic, but he did know 1 or 2 prayers, but has forgotten them, he is living with his mother at present as she is very very sick indeed, I dont know what to do brother, I am in financial dire straits and am desperate to get help, I dont know where else to turn and need some advice or help, I live in the uk. @Matteus Brandt Matteus, set your mind on Christ Jesus, with a repentant heart and leave Him, to decide what you'll leave behind. The reason I say this, is because it is by grace through faith, that we are saved and that is not of ourself. So it isn't by works or anything we do, or don't do, but by faith alone, having believed that Jesus died for our sins once for all, and that God raised Him from the dead. The bible says we are to believe this in our heart and confess it with our mouth, unto salvation. So, does doing this, make it a works based salvation? Not at all, it is an act of obedience to God, the Holy Spirit, Whom, has indwelt the believer, causing regeneration of our spirit that was dead in Adam. Just like He did in the one thief on the cross next to Jesus. We have been given a new spirit and a new heart that is not hardened toward righteousness and a renewing of the mind, which completely changes our volition. This is why a sinner would be willing to walk away from sin and follow Jesus as Lord of their life. Just like you said you wanna do. Sounds to me as though you are doing exactly what you said you would be willing to do. The Lord is the One that will see the work He has begun in you, through unto completion. Which of course, will be when we meet Him face to face in our new glorified digs. Our new glorified body, I was just trying to sound cool by saying, "digs". Lol.. I purposely said that, to show you that we Christians are just like everyone else, in that we like to have fun, still wanna come across as cool or whatever our thing is, just not prideful or immoral, or anything sinful. We live a new more abundant life inside these vessels, that is pleasing to God and brings glory to Him. This is the fruit of the Spirit. His Spirit, the Paraclete, Who is working in us, doing all of the heavy lifting and comforting, rooting us on, by encouraging and enabling us. He is also sanctifying us, which of course is setting us apart. Making us a peculiar people, something like God's chosen people, the Jews. Only for them it was in the physical sense as they were commanded to live in a way that was so different than anyone else, that they remained separate from everyone, thus ensuring a pure bloodline to the throne of David, and our Lord and King the long awaited Messiah or Christ, Jesus, Who will reign on David's throne forever. But, in us the elect, it is spiritual, and we too, are a peculiar people in the sense that we are merely sojournors in a land that is not our own, as we are just passing through, to reach the destination that God has placed the desire for, in our hearts. Here is the tough part Matteus, and I can tell you this without concern of you turning and running the other way, because if indeed you are elect, then you, like myself and all of the brethren will be cast, in the furnace of affliction. Notice that I didn't say "cast into", like Daniel's three buddies, who were cast into a furnace to be destroyed. Rather, I said "cast in" and the reason for this, is because for us, it is not for punishment and destruction, but discipline and admonishment and through affliction, we are being perfected in Christ or you could say, being made into the image of Christ. This is achieved by our suffering, as He did. This I believe is one of the reasons behind what Paul meant when he said, to take up our cross and follow Him, and also, work out your salvation with fear an trembling. When we are following Christ, we are the light of Christ, to the world around us. I am not saying we are Christ. But, when people see and hear a true blue born of God Christian soldier, there is such a vast difference between them and us, that those that remain rebellious against the Lord become uncomfortable because they love darkness and all the sinfulness that goes with it. They hate the light and shun it because it reveals the truth about their wickedness and the dark sinful condition of their heart, We need to be on our guard from attacks by the evil one, who works his craft in and through those that remain spiritually dead in Adam, as they are lost and deceived. We will be persecuted for Christ's name sake. That is one of the marks of a godly man. Just look at Paul. Also let us not forget that there is a spiritual battle for the mind, taking place, and the reading of the word and prayer are where we will find some of our best defense against any accusations from the evil one, not to mention, both the word and prayer can be a quiet place of refuge, to shelter us from any of the storms we must go through in our trials. Matteus, I am confident by your comment to me, that the Lord has already begun a great work in you. Tonight when I head down to the lake, to spend time with the Lord. I will include you in my prayer. Anyhow brother, I love you, as do all of the brethren, as does our gracious Lord. I am sharing this comment that I made to someone named Matteus, a couple of days ago, that told me on here, that he would be willing to leave everything to follow Christ. I can see there are an alarming number of people on here, judging by their own comments, that do not know the true gospel of grace. This seems completely understandable considering the context of this video. It is my sincere desire that sharing this comment, serves as a helpful resource, in pointing those seeking salvation in Christ Jesus, our Lord, in the proper direction. I recommend downloading a bible app, so that you are equipped with the inspired word of God, while on the fly. I use the (1984 edition niv) bible as my daily driver, then I cross reference with some of the more formal or literal equivalence versions, even paraphrased versions, to get a better idea of what is being said. Also, you may find the gotquestions.org app, irreplaceable as a vital resource in answering any Christian or biblical questions you may have. Take for instance the word "Paraclete", that I used in this comment, for the Holy Spirit. Look it up on your new gotquestions app as it gives the most eloquent answer, that I have ever seen or heard. I use it all the time because it just makes sense
