They've given us the best years of their lives and we should be thankful for that. Uri Jongdae, as much as I teared up when I heard the news, please know that I still support and love you wholeheartedly. You're going to become a great dad and I admire your courage to man up and tell everyone yourself despite the imminent backlash. True. The amount of happiness I felt in that momemt when I read the news is uncompareable. I actually have been waiting for any of my idols whether it's EXO or any other group to get married and start a family. So this news was all I needed. I really don't understand their mindset. Why do they think that their idols belong to them. They make it sound like chen is a young teenage boy who does not know what he is doing. Last time I checked he was nearing his 30's and from what I know that is what you call a grown man. They are not true fans if they think that he should leave the group. Why does he need to leave just because he found someone to love that isn't one of his so called fan. I truly wish him and his family all the best and I hope he knows that he has fans that supports him.

I feel so lucky that I can read and understand all the comments posted here. As a Korean, I just want to tell all the international fans that there are a lot of fans in Korea that agree with all of you. I really felt that all the EXO members were anxious about the perfect storm that was about to come and tried to send a message to their fans that 'WE ARE ONE' during their last concert in Korea. After seeing this interview, I was convinced that they were trying to send this message again indirectly. I noticed that Baekhyun was trying to give his support to Chen by holding/stroking (around 29min) him which warmed my heart instantly. I just hope that the fans who are trying to pressure Chen to quit being EXO, listen to Sehun and realize how important each and every member is to EXO. 엑소 힘내. 다음 무대 기대하고 있을께.

Watching this again months after Chen's announcement, I was able to understand the members' anxiety while conducting this interview. The look on Chen's eyes, the sincerity of their words, the fear on Suho's voice, as if they were afraid they were about to lose us. When I first watched this, I thought they were just so stressed and drained out, but now I totally realize it all. After all of these, I am more than proud I stayed. Baekhyun said Chen is an angel, I agreed with him them, I agree with him now. They're the most precious gem we were able to find, and we feel the same toward us, no matter what, let us not lose each other.

I feel like this comment section is how EXO-L is truly supposed to be. No fights with other fandoms, no antis, solo stans, ot7 or ot8 stans; just us expressing our love for the boys. Thank you

It's a good interview but my favorite exo interview is the one with Ellie Lee you should probably check that out.

I know a lot of fans prefer it when kpop groups being interviewed in general are super playful and hyped up, but I personally like these laid back, intimate type of interviews where the members really speak from their hearts. It almost seems like a reflection of what they mean by being able to express themselves much more comfortably now having been in the kpop industry for 8 years. And I really do admire EXO for being so open about wishing to continue as an artist whilst finding their own individual happiness, because let's be honest, this is something that a big bulk of kpop fandoms forget (particularly that of the Korean fanbase as we're seeing now with recent news). Thank you for this interview!

This group don't deserved the hates, the criticism and such. They are also human. Exo and exo-l have been experienced so many difficulties, problem, trials. Losing 3 members, 1 inactive that some people excluded him from exo, dating issue (kai), chen's having a family (that they also wanted him to out of exo). And 3 members is in military. We always experienced being robbed by some polls, award shows. That ''some of exo-l tired'' of being like that. So they leave us. Because of these trials we make us weak but exo gives us strength to fight and we become stronger. EXO'S MOTIVATION IS EXO-L and EXO-L'S MOTIVATION IS EXO. People may not appreciate this interview because in general nowadays people have really short attention spans, so they prefer short bursts of energy instead of what is shown in this interview. In this interview its like the interviewer is trying to get more detailed answers, also more of the members have an input, whereas in other interviews, its a few members who do most of the talking.

She did this was taemin as well. It was like an hour long interview where they sat down in a restaurant and she seemed well informed about him and asked a lot of good questions

In all honesty? This interview is my favorite. I feel like I really got to know them a little better and it just felt so sincere and warm. It suprised me a little that they spoke up about wanting to be happy and making their happiness their first priority. It just gives me the feeling that they've been around for so long and have grown into their roles and matured to a point where they seem at peace with things and don't need to stress themselves that much anymore. It made so happy to hear that. Especially in light on Chen's marriage and parenthood I think this was their way to tell everyone that they're okay with it and that they support him and that his personal happiness is a priority to them. I am genuinely touched by this.

The "we are family" vibes were so strong in this interview! You can see that they really reached a level where they are no longer trying to have that "perfect untouchable idol attitude" but rather show the deep human side of them. I think this is the message they want to give to EXO-Ls. Unfortunately, not all the EXO-Ls understand this message and it's heartbreaking to see how many suddenly went against Chen just because he is just trying to be happy, just like any other human being. Although I haven't been an EXO-L for a very long time, I fully support them and want them to have a happy life. #EXOweareone #EXOsaranghaja

I can feel EXO's tiredness emotionally, physically, and mentally in this interview but I love it at the same time because the laid back atmosphere spoke volumes about the experience and confidence they've accumulated over the years. They no longer have to do any gimmicks or tricks to be heard because their presence already command the ears of their listeners.

It's strange how nobody is talking about how good a job the interviewer did here. So far one of the best interviewers ever. She should give classes on " how to interview people ". How she drew answers out of even the usually quite ones (during interviews) Chen and Sehun. How everytime she was onto asking a question, the members' eyes and ears were glued on to her. How she never failed to garner answers from each and every member for the same question. Otherwise in most interviews, we usually find only 1 member answering for only 1 question. How it felt more of a warm chit chat, an exchange of experiences among friends rather than the usual formal interviewing process. How she managed to score a personal rapport with them sometimes even sharing her own experiences and at other times not forgetting to compliment them on everything they deserve to be praised for. 😍 And also how her enunciation of English words is so endearing that even the members couldn't hold back repeating those words after her. 😃 Brilliant job ! 👍❤❣

u can see how much baekhyun has really matured in this interview. i’m not sure if it’s bc he was superM’s leader so he understands how suho feels now but Baekhyun naturally answered most of the questions and even finished the interviewer’s question. compared to prior interviews when he would play with things in his hands or constantly yell “come on man!”

Actually I searched his mbti on the internet and he is an INFJ, the rarest personality type. Those are the ones with powerful intuition and philosophical thoughts. Even in his profile, it was written that he thinks a lot about philosophical topics such as why he was born, what would he do if he weren't a part of exo today, how he has slowly adjusted his thoughts and beliefs to other people's point of views etc. I don't know how much of that is actually true, but looking at this interview, it seems that atleast some of it is.

I'm 36 and just found out about exo during quarantine also lol It's a lot of information to process since I only barely knew Growl. As a light fan, I totally understand/support Chen getting married and forming a family but I also understand the opposite sentiment..! "Real" Exo L's need to buy concert ticket almost like registering for a popular class at college because they sell out in a minute or so & they each buy at least 10 copies of albums to collect different versions of photos. Of course they know they can't be Chen's real wife but they do dwell on that fantasy (and spend lots of money). Chen also lied when people speculated that they are getting married because she's pregnant (and 7 month later they had a baby lol) SM predecessor TVSQ's Changmin got married recently and did not get criticized because he was age 32 and TVSQ was well past their prime. Chen is only 27 & many members still active as Exo. So yea it's little bit more complicated than just being jealous of that lucky woman ^.^);; Correct me if I am wrong, I just recently became a fan

This was probably my favourite Korean idol interview ever. Like they're humans and they spoke like humans, not acting weird or super giddy to make it 'funny' but being themselves and talking about things that matter. Loved the interviewer, great questions. It feels like such a journey knowing these boys it's beautiful

As a Chen stan, here is what I have realized. After all these years, despite being known as a loud beagle of the group, and someone who takes care of everyone; he may have had his own world that prevented him from having more time to bond with other members. I kind of relate myself to this, as most of my life I am one. I teared up with Chanyeols description of Chen and Sehuns message to him (29:57 onwards). They really loved each other after all. Proud to say I stan the right family.

I became an exo-l this quarantine and because there are a lot of free time I am quickly drawn to them, watched a lot of their mv's, funny videos, shows, interviews, and reality shows too. It may sound fast to me to tell because it's only been four months but EXO made a special place in my heart considering that I'm new into k-pop last December and an ex-basher of the idols, I am now reflecting that k-pop is music/art that is appreciated and not being bashed because of the language and what I really like about it is you get to know what person they are, and for me I answered myself why others really love kpop more than music but it's not only rainbows and sunshine there is also the dark side of it and for me it's being obsessed with those idols, feeling pf the fans that they own them and it literally hits in this interview that some forgot that they are not only idols but humans too, i feel so sorry for those 'fans' who sees their idols as their bf/gf or someone they own I pray they will be enlightened and sees the truth. As for me when I was new into kpop I also dreamt of it but thankfully now I am guided and EXO is not an idol i need to praise and make a cult but is my friend, their music is my comfort, and their love to me as an exo-l (and other exo-ls) is my added strength :)

OMG same, I've become an EXO-L this quarentine, and I feel you so much. K-pop is more that I thought, I didn't wanna dive in cause of the toxics fans whom forget the are humans, but now I just love them so much and want them to be happy, I don't see them as my bf I see them as artists, friends, nice human being with a lot of talent. I was a fan of Chen but didn't know EXO and now that I'm into it it makes me so sad that it's so hard for them to become happy and free, it's been so long since he last apper and just maesme worry if he's doing okay I wish we could know how hw feel in love and how does it feel to become a parent. They are all in ages to create familys even more in korean culture that people tend to marry young. It just break my soul that they have to hid such an important side of their life and even feel sorry about. I just wonder how much there is that we don't know YET. Maybe he's not the only one in a relationship and I would love to suppert their love, that's happines and I just want them to become happy.

This was filmed in December, but I believe 2019 was a year of great change for them, mentally and emotionally. These ideas and concepts they talked about in the interview don’t sound like they are scripted. They must have been discussing these topics among themselves for a while: personal happiness, honesty, friendship (EXO and EXO L), bonding as a family, and they seem more introspective and mature since EXO’s Ladder reality show. They also talked about these things when Xiumin held his party, before enlisting. D.O. and Xiumin left for a while, and soon the others will follow, and they know they need to be strong, and trust each other. The storms will rage, but will pass eventually. They know this first hand because hardship hit EXO hard many times before, and they overcame everything with hard work. Baekhyun said at JYP’s show that he trusted EXO L to help and support them through tough times. Let’s not betray his trust, just like their best friends would do.

That's a very through statement. I feel the same as Exo grown a lot along the hall of fame. They feel like a deeply bonded while individually self aware. Like they still care very much about the fans but their wished comes first. In this interview they are confident, relaxed, true, and sincere. I love them more.

During Suho's ending speech, of all of them Jongdae never once broke eye contact with the camera. They all seem not quite themselves, Chanyeol seems a bit spaced out and Suho and Chen look anxious, they all knew about the oncoming storm. The release of this interview was perfectly timed. What a great way to emphasise their humanity as well as their love for their work and fans. Amazing interview, thankyou Stacy. EXO's happiness is my happiness. 사랑하자

This may sound so cliché but EXO really helped me during my downfalls. Their music was my distraction when I'm having panic attacks and anxiety episodes. They did so much for me without their knowledge. That's why I am very willing to do everything for them and protect them against the antis. EXO is not EXO without Minseok. EXO is not EXO without Junmyeon. EXO is not EXO without Yixing. EXO is not EXO without Baekhyun. EXO is not EXO without Jongdae. EXO is not EXO without Chanyeol. EXO is not EXO without Kyungsoo. same, I fortunately don't usually face such mental issues, but exo has helped me a lot when I was stressed and searched for something that'd be fun and a distraction for me and that's when I loved their music and performances and the bond between members. Also, exo will always be 9.

10:46 they are so supportive with Chen, you can see Sehun slightly leaning on him + and Kai saying that they want to be individually happy but together, you can see how happy he looks knowing that all his members support his choice. And the way Chen smiles ;; we are so happy for you Jongdae!

I agree! As much as their career stems from their passion for music, it’s still work and like most people, you can’t base your whole life around work (even if you like your job!). You need to develop and cherish other aspects in your life to feel healthy and happy. So I just wish for more fans to understand that and let them breathe and live freely.

notice how when the host asked them to share a good memory of a member, each of them shared a personal memory instead of something from concerts or public events? this shows how the little thing counts and how they r brothers even when not in the spotlight. lets continue to support them and lets all love for a long time

Because what the members need right now is not to rest, but to travel together and creating memories together. -Baekhyun We just want to enjoy instead of focusing on the scores. We just want to he happy and out fans to be happy too. -Kai EXO doesn't need to prove anything because they already are a proof itself of the best group ever!

I absolutely love this interview. EXO’s happiness is an EXO-lS first priority because as long as EXO’s happy we are happy . I’m annoyed at the fake EXO-L’s who completely ditched Chen and gave him hate after he said he was getting married.I am still supporting Chen as I’m happy for him .Im also supporting LAY as well as even tho he isn’t with EXO right now he’s still apart of the band . I’m a new EXO-L I’ve been an EXO-L for 3 months now and I’m trying to watch as many EXO interviews and get to know a lot more about the boys . This didn’t even feel like an interview. It felt like a conversation with this super Successful world wide group about where they’ve been and where they are going. This was one of the best Kpop interviews I’ve seen in a while. We really got to see how grown and secure the Exos have become. I really hope fans will allow them to be happy and take new paths in their lives It’s crazy to have watched them grown into the men that they are today. I’m super emotional but Thank you for this amazing video Stacy and Iheart.

One of the best interviews in the kpop history ever (national and especially international). It’s refreshing to hear their thoughts and feelings about specific topics and how they grew from trainees to members and then to a big family. I like how Sehun said at first he didn’t understand the members but with the time how he came to understand to value all of them, how they depend at eo and how he became thankful to them. NOW WE ARE A FAMILY. That is a process and not how every groups claims that they are like family from the beginning but you know it’s not true cause you see that some members don’t even get along well. People forget even the reality that they firstly are workpartners and that they probably will have a lot problems with eo before they click right. I like that they are honest about this. Like Chanyeol said that he became really close with Chen last year. They were good friends and did hang out and did have fun together but sometimes it needs a deep conversation or smth.else to be more close and to be bonded.

This whole interview makes EXO more and more special for me. We all should now strongly protect our nine gems. EXO has actually protected us all this time and always loved us. Now, we should stand by them through thick and thin, love them and protect them from fake fans and toxic people. I'll always love you EXO and support all of you. My OT9! EXO Saranghaja!

Among the other interviews that Exo had done during 2019, this definitely my most favorite one. They seemed so calm, mature, and I like how this interview feels like it’s not about how’s your life as an Exo member but about themselves as a person in life. May the current situation would not change anything from how they present themselves in front of exo-ls and the others.

I’m a new fan binge watching their shows and interviews. I did not expect this one to be so serious. Why is it making me feel sad ☹️

This is my favorite interview, at that time all the members already knew the news of Chen, you can see it in their expressions, it must have been difficult. But they did a great job, they opened their hearts, EXO is a family, and I'm happy to be a part of their story as EXO-L 💙

Out of many kpop groups out there, EXO really stood out for me. I love how they love their fans and put them first. Like what Baekhyun said that we should buy padded coats rather than their album, I think it's really sweet. This is the reason EXO-L stay through these years because they are well taken care of. Indeed, the fandom reflects their idols. If a fandom is nice, orderly, cooperative, and caring, so as the idols.

Imagine, some fans (toxic fans. sorry for the term) don't want EXO to date, get married and have a family WHILE THEIR PARENTS, SIBLINGS & RELATIVES TEASING AND ASKING THEM: who is your girlfriend? when will you get married? when will you have a baby? when will I see my own grandchildren? Come on guys! They are just like us, HUMANS, behind the cameras they have private lives that we are not entitled to intrude. All the love for them, whether they are single or married ♡♡♡

I dont think there is something wrong with Chanyeol and Baekhyun to be quiet/calm here (I mean they all look like they have something on their mind) but personality wise, I think this is them. The calm & mature side of them. Same with the other members. Like I can imagine how they are when they work behind the scene, sharing opinion with each other, a bit playful here & there but still focus. Being professional. I LOVE IT.

EXO: silence I don't know if anyone noticed or we simply decided to ignore their blank faces and the fact that they still can not openly talk about personal space and life as normal humans is making me cry. Baekhyun really took one for the team there by giving a diplomat answer and changing the subject kind of. Could lose their innocent image? lose delusional fans? lose popularity? but then again if they were to keep all those but on the expense of what?
