chimchim bambam AGAIN, that was ChanHun. They chose SC because it's less confusing for EXO-Ls to differentiate which member's in what position. If they named it something like "R-Line", then it's just more overly confusing. It wasn't SM, the ENTIRE PROJECT was ChanHun, they directed it, as was the name. Go watch their concert if you want more details

I never thought of this song as being about unrequited love. The way I interpreted it, it's about someone being afraid to show their feelings, afraid to fall again because they've been hurt before. They do actually like the other person, they're just not in love yet because they're holding back feelings, while the other is already in love. And the other person knows this and is understanding about it, that's why they sing 'do you like me like I love you' in a way that sounds like it's more or less okay to them (while normally it would be a painful idea that someone 'just' likes you when you love them). The tone of this song is rather impatient though, as if this situation has been going on for a long time and is starting to get frustrating, but I really don't think it's meant in a quit-playing-games-with-my-heart way (yes I'm quoting backstreet boys), more like a quit-playing-games-with-your-own-heart kind of way. To me it sounds like they're saying 'if you like me, you should give in instead of holding back, because I love you and wouldn't hurt you'. Actually in a way I think every 'I love you' in this song comes off as a way of saying 'I won't hurt you', they're trying to reassure the other person, because that person that hurt the other person in the past probably didn't love them and now the person that's hurt thinks no one will ever do and it's best not to be in a relationship again Okay this comment was way longer than I anticipated it to be lol what am I doing with my time xD
