My buddy and I used the 930 intercoms on a four-month ride (18,000 miles) from the US to Tierra del Fuego, then Buenos Aires. The coms were super easy to install and use, and removing the batteries for charging was no big deal. (No need to remove pads.). We would typically get 2-3 days of use from one charge.

Thanks for the info. I just happen to see the video where they demo the charging part and I thought that the idea was not possible.

How do you charge the unit when it needs charging? Do you have to remove the pads to get to the battery, then pull the battery out to charge with the USB-C cable?

I bought the 960 version. You have to pull back the pads to get at it. The cable that comes from the controller plugs into the battery. That has pigtail that plugs into the speakers via USB C connector. Unplug the speakers and you can than charge with a USB C cable. I just got this and I am very disappointed with the battery setup. For the price of a helmet like this, the battery should have easy access to it without having to pull back any pads. Have fun putting the liner back in place. It will take 10-15 minutes to get it back in place correctly. The clip that holds the controller is very cheap. Simple plastic clip that bends when you put the controller in. I guess it's fortunate that you will not be plugging the contoller back alot or that piece would break.

@@sergnh6384 thanks for the reply. Yeah I thought it looked like it would be a pain to charge. I went with the AT950 and I'm very happy with it. I bought a Cardo Pactalk Edge and it fits perfect. Super easy to charge the Edge and no need to remove any pads like you have to on the AT960.

Wow! 1) It should have come 100% pre-installed. Getting the cheek pads in is a PITA! This is exactly why I DIDN'T want to buy the comms seperate. 2) Charging the battery should be easier. If I knew all this beforehand, I never would have purchased it.
