I'm full or admiration for such an extraordinary lady and for her parents who so lovingly and carefully moulded her phenomenally delightful character and allowed her to pursue her dream of becoming a wonderfully talented actress and a 'complete' individual. However, although Paul Mescal was snubbed he it absolutely delighted that Daisy, his gorgeous 'friend' has finally received the recognition she so richly deserves. What an amazing 'real life' couple they'd make.

You don't find an answer on that question in the show :-( I think not because it's not possible that, if she heard it, she never reacted to it. Or she was so disappointed and angry to Connell that moment she wouldn't hear or see him.
