My sister age 65 and 8 years older than me, died suddenly last month. This, and SO many songs of the 70's remind me of her. She was in charge of the radio, so I had no choice but to listen to what she wanted. I remember this song, and how I had NO idea of what it was really about. My naive self sang it loudly with her as it was something she liked. Any music she liked I love to this day. Keep 70's music alive!

I remember where I was when I first heard this song when new. Riding in the car with my parents back in the 70's driving down the road at night. No seat belts required at that time. The car was the size of a boat and I was laying right under the back window looking up at the stars with this song rocking out in the speaker right below my head.

@Wilmie! The young ones are offered junk by the money driven music companies. During the war there was no real coffee to buy, so people started to make surrogate coffee made of potatoes and tulip bulbs, here in the Netherlands. After the war they preferred the surrogate coffee over the real coffee, for some time. So you see, if you're offered junk, you start to love it.

Me. Someone stuck in the 70’s with the best memories.
The lead singer was a born dancer. Fantastic dancing, a great performing artist in contemporary dance.
The lead singer’s performance is off the scale. Great Band.
THIS IS THE VERSION that has its true heart and soul. The original, with singer Jimmy Stokley.
The part of Roy Orbison gets me every time and a classy tribute to him.. Now we've 2 others from this supergroup who has passed away as well.. Rest in peace too Roy, George and Tom.. Gone forever but will not forget these legends from the music industry..
I love Jimmy Stokley, voice, I get the chills hearing him sing. ❤️
RIP Jimmy Stokley…amazing ballad 🙏🙏

Oh ya!!
I love how entertaining the lead singer is and how much he resembles the Native American ghost of John Denver. RIP.
You don't see this very often: An US #1 by a country group from Kentucky, written by the leading glam rock songwriters from Britain. "Kiss You All Over" has a great vibe combining elements of rock and disco - the stylistic sweet spot of 1978.
Good stuff… so authentic the 70s rock bands, not too much staging and choreography. Love it.
I gave a cassette copy of this track to a mate of mine and said I think you'll like this one. Actually it was the Can't By A Thrill album. The next week when I saw him he couldn't get over how good it was.
Uber-talented long-haired-dude is Jimmy Stokley, who died in 1985 at age 42, from hepatitis... Back when you could understand what a singer was saying! 2019....belleza de musica !!!! The wonderful seventies.....no rap "music".... anywhere on Earth

Stockley struck me as kind of weird or even goofy. That J.P. guy looked like the slick, charismatic businessman or local politician type.

@@IanPunter The dynamic is odd to the point of being comical. I grew up hearing this song, but this is the first time seeing the band. The squatting, blank looks along with J.P. looking completely straight alongside it all...

Long haired Lead Vocalist Jimmy Stokley was fantastic, and, Guitarist J.P. Pennington too, but, WOW, THE BASS LINE IN THIS SONG IS OFF THE CHARTS BRO!!!

I listened to an interview JP did. The interviewer got Jimmy's first name wrong and not only did JP never correct him, JP never acknowledged Jimmy being the one who started the band. He called him the guy who used to sing lead.
I've had this on my playlist. This is the first view of this vid. They all had great voices. What a badass group, love em.

Never knew there were two lead vocals until now. Just great! Have the 45.
Listened with those 70s headphones that were big and heavy and covered your ears and blocked out all outside sound, bass forward sound that defined the era.
Loved Jimmys hair
